A cursory walk around the parish shows plenty of the farms taking not a blind bit of notice of the guidance....

 

I wonder who'll be the first to complain how hard done by they are and thrust out the hand expecting compo?

 

Yeah, is a bit daft really.

 

We've housed all of ours in chicken tractors (fully enclosed coop with a mesh tunnel run) so we can still move them onto fresh grass..... it's as close to free range as we can get without letting them roam free.

 

Now there is a confirmed case we'll be putting a sheet of clear polytunnel plastic over the runs.... to get over the wild bird poo issue.
