Took my arborist 130 in for a service a few months ago and since then every time the anti stress kicks in the feed rollers don't just stop, they go into reverse briefly, which quite often spits the brash back out meaning you've constantly got to stand by it feeding the brash back in.

 

I'm not sure if it was something that was changed during the service or it is just a coincidence that it started doing it after. Has anyone any ideas what it might be?

A Percy What year is it and are they vertical or horizontal rollers?

Phone Greenmech and speak to Jason in the service department - he'll tell you how to adjust the settings over the phone.

The kick back needs adjusting and it's a five minute job..

The junction box is mounted behind the battery, you'll need to remove the four screws holding the lid on (it's a white square box ), once the lid is removed look for a small adjustable 'blue' potentiometer in the centre of the circuit board.

Using a small flat bladed screwdriver carefully turn the screw very slightly anti-clockwise to reduce the kick back or clockwise to increase it......

It's very sensitive so will probably take a few attempts to get it spot on.

Also it's better to adjust it with warm hydraulic oil as the kickback increases slightly as the oil temperature increases...

It's the same on all GreenMech chippers with an electric control valve......

Jase, tell your boss that I said you can have a pay rise. That sorted it thank you. I rang Orange Plant where I got it from and I was told that I'd have to take it into their workshop as they had not heard of the problem before so you've saved me about 2hrs of down tools time
