MS201TC - is it an 'M' ?

Evening all,

 

Box says TC, Saw says TC but manual says TC-M.

I thought the saws had the 'M' on too?

As it's new I assume it must be, just curious?

Mine just says tc but it is an mtronic as it has no carb adjust screws and has a plug in bit belting saws!

is there some carb screw holes on the side , if not its an m,

they don't have the M, I queried this with my dealer when i picked one up. bit daft imo.

no carb adjustment and the triangle on the start stop switch is the clues to m-tronic

Sorry fellas, just me being slow today - too much on my mind.

 

Realised the lack of carb adjust screws just before the replies came in.

For some odd reason, Stihl doesn't always put all the letters of the model designation on the saws - and it has been that way for a while.

 

A "C" with no more letters behind it may refer to different "comfort" features, depending on the model number and when it was made.

 

To further confuse people, it once was used about a cat. muffler as well - but that is some time ago now, as far as I know.
