Compact tractor/pto chipper

Hitching and unhitching a full payload 3.5t trailer to get the chipper on and off wouldn't be much fun. Ok on hard surface but could be a pig on gravel drive etc. Could work though.

I took on cutting the grass in the estate where I live, loading the little kubota 6200 isn't what I call funinto the tipper and then tie it down. So much fun I looked into getting a car transporter. . Just be careful.

 

I'd agree with others regarding centre of gravity.

I run one of these chippers on a 24hp (well it was once upon a time) Kubota. Needs 3 weights on the front but a great set up getting in between trees and right up to a job. Transport it on a 12ft wessex but it doesn't fit with the weights on so always interesting to load!

Got to admit Darren, your idea may be worth a punt...

Can always use a jack to help lift a tow bar up to connect I guess...

Only briefly read thread so not sure if this helps.

We have a 35hp bcs and run a 5" tp chipper on it. Not super fast on brashy stuff as only one feed roller but gets through it and takes bigger woody stuff really well. Its a bit back heavy when lifted on arms but other than that good. It sits on 14' ifor with weights over headboard and chipper legs just on back so probably no go on a tipper. We tend to chip on site so not a problem.

TP might be for sale soon-its great but need something a bit bigger

what about a tracked chipper and vermeer loader thing or similar??

tracked chippers are ace. then you could just take the chipper if no logs to move etc.
