First a mini vase turned in yew and the a bowl turned in holm oak. Both finished with wood wax.

I'm loving holm oak at the moment very nice to work with, keeping me eye out for more.

very nice pieces ian, i really like the grain in the bowl and thats a nice piece of yew. glossy finish, what wax did you use?

woodwax 22, spread all over with fingers wait about a min then turn on lathe and buff with a polishing cloth. A nice deep shine allow 15mins between coats.

i havnt used that wax22 yet, i've been meaning to get some. ordered the replacement toolrest holder today, that was an expense i could of done without, only 37 quid delivered so not too bad.
