I have a pretty good set of chisels and scrapers. Picking a new wet dry sharpener up thursday so will sharpen tools to prestine. Have found a new rest too so can eliminate any undue vibration. Happy to practise on this wood. It was a very cheap lot i had from auction. Good to cut my teeth on so to speak.

I have recently bought a second hand lathe (Axminster ccbl) as I've been want to do some wood turning for some time, but unfortunately the variable speed control lever/mechanism seems to be jammed! I've opened it up but can't seem to see where the problem is and was wondering if anyone on here had experienced a similar problem or could offer some advice?

Cheers

John
