heard something shocking today. one of our gardini shredders self destructed last week when i was off.apparently from what i could gather.some of the hammers came off and shot through the casing. through the top,out of the bottom and of course out of the shoot. quite likely the machine is a write-off,wouldn't be so bad but its less than 9 mnths old:scared1:

anybody had sommat similar?

suprised it's lasted 9 months! Our Gandini shreader was rubbish from day 1 everytime it left the yard a fitter went with waiting for the inevitable breakdown. I wish ours had self destructed many moons before our gaffer finally saw sense and got shot of it!

Unless its been miss used it should be covered by warranty.

apparently a bearing collapsed after 80hrs work. caused the hammers to make contact and shear off. there was a highways crew working not 30 yrds away from where the hammers got fired too......absoloutly shat themselves as i would of:mad1:
