Chris I think most in this trade are sufficiently well connected to know who`s about and available, the subby network is a huge source of extra labour on an as and when basis. I am quite confident between the subby`s I use I could have an extra ten guys here at the drop of a hat. Likewise I was out helping a contractor that had his back to the wall wrap up a job on new years eve and new years day.

Yeah, I use a lot of subbies and sub myself to a lot of people, and by and large we all help each other out, above and beyond sometimes! It's good to know you can rely on people when your up against it and vice versa

I agree that is how it should be, but building those kind of work relationships takes years, and there will be alot of people who count alot more vice than versa along the way....
