I went to them, they do offer a home/work visit but he said it was quicker to go to there Ind Unit

Good to hear they have improved, not.

 

I've heard about the Watchdog thing since I started banging my gums about todays fiasco:

If it makes you feel any better there were probably loads of other customers who were 100% satisfied that day. I've used them twice and they have been spot on.

 

Nothing worse than hanging about all day only to be competently let down. A bit of customer update might have helped a bit.

I know what you mean, but, no, it doesn't!

 

What is it they say about a reputation ... years to build, seconds to destroy.

 

I bet none of those satisfied customers have been on to customer services at Autoass and the insurance company and spent time singing their praises online about how good they are at turning up and doing what they would be paid for at the time they said they would!

Autoglass have monopoly in the UK after the other (auto windscreens) went bust (since re-born but much smaller).

 

We had a chip on a windscreen of a new Hyundai, a director called them in, they said they could not repair it and quoted £1300 to replace it.

 

We took it to a local windscreen company who mended the chip for £40.

 

I do not use them because they are a monopoly
