sidestrop advice

i have just recently started to use a hitch climber after using prussik loops for years, i can really see the benefits in a very short time, i just have to practise more and tweak it they way i want, but now i am already fed up with having a prussik loop on my side strop, i have a grab on my steel core flip line, can i get one that will work on rope, and what do you guys recommend. the steel one is fine for big dismantles on a stem but to clumbersum in a crown.cheers.

cammed grabs like on your steelcore work fine on 1/2" rope as well...

i actually prefer a grab on a rope lanyard, and a prussic and pulley on a steelcore

The ultimate gadget is the cinch, made by trango I think.

Its a bit exe at 75 quid ish but vfm imo

I have a cinch, with 10mm line, as my lanyard. Highly recommend it.

Yup, all you'd need then is a helmet in the same shade of green. A fully colour co-ordinated climbing system, it would be like a dream coming true!

Most of my dreams feature women without harness etc Pete, but you go for it mate!

i just have a distal and pully for my side strop-still get the one handed tending, but at a fraction of the cost
