Had a play with the POV1 on friday whilst pruning some scrappy poplars. It was'nt a good day; a subbie did'nt show and the weather was ****, windy, and showery ( each time i went up ). I also ****** up taking the video as i did'nt keylock the pov and it switced itself off twice, hence I install a pulley and then it cuts to me in the next tree ( I missed all the rigging ).

It was good to have a go with it and I have learned a few things like I pointed the camera too high and the mike only picked up my clothes rustling and my swearing ( I hate ivy ).

Any way I wanted to learn how to edit and upload so i made something of what I had... Steven Speilberg I ain't.

Just a hitchclimber mate, the utube video quality makes it hard too see stuff. I was using a four wrap martin hitch tied in samson 'bail out', I keep the legs really short so it does'nt sit back. On the bit towards the end when I was going back up for the pulley I was using a loop sling between the harness and the hitch climber so I can pull underneath it.

Just the one lens, its 110 degrees which is quite wide i think. as to the quality i recorded at 25 fps and 720 x 480 but i compressed the file to 70 odd MB cause other wise it would have taken about 3 days to upload, out here in the stix i only get 1meg broadband. You're right though it looks miles better on the pc. I had'nt realised how much you move your head or how fast, next time i'll try to be more steady.
