would a petrol tank from a pre 2012 372(non xtorq)fit the same as the xtorq tank itself,im guessing it might but want to be sure

Yes, the older tank has been superseded by the new model, so it should fit, as the new model is listed to fit the older 2007 model

nice one,cheers lads,dont suppose anyone knows the crack with fitting that pesky throttle cable,iv had it apart about 5 times already,everything looks good but when I connect it ,it only gives me half throttle at best,im near done with the pile of junk,nothing but hassle from day one,thank jesus im not relying on it

just a case of fitting it to the trigger first before fitting the handle, feed it up thru the hole underneath the carband leave it hanging in there loose, fit handle then connect to the carb I find is the best way.

that's what im doing and it only gives me half throttle,i even changed the cable,still the same,stumped

Hmmm strange. Silly question but you are pushing the outer sleeve into the trigger unit? I assume so as that would give you a tight throttle not a loose one.

Maybe the plate under the carb is different? I know they are on the 394 to 395. On the 394 the outer sheath locates in the carb box plate but in the 395 it goes thru and locates in a black bracket that fits around the boot. Yet both cables are the same part number/length

Have you fitted it into the clip inside the trigger? It's fiddly as hell, but it may be easier to fit it through the airbox base plate first, then the throttle and then carb

yip I clipped it into the bit on the trigger,if I hold the end of the cable at the carb end and press the trigger it works great,soon as I fit it,it doesn't,basically i had the tank off it,put it back together and it doesn't want to play anymore
