Best pubs in Barnsley?

The annual golfing trip is upon us, and we're soon heading to Barnsley. So, where is good for a night out? Pubs with live bands on would suit us. Most of us are in our 40's, so no modern chart music thumping out. Can't stand that stuff

I think its a toned down a bit now Dave , a good friend of mine lived there for years and has since moved to Renishaw. He reckoned it was like living in the wild west ,if the pub landlord wanted you out his favourite saying was "pick a window your leaving".
