I know his parents mean well but they even say it themselves that it was a tragic accident and a "fluke". I don't think pushing extra safety gear on climbers is a good idea. The standard industry clothing is already available and you lot know what you have to wear and the risks you take if you don't. Some areas of the body just simply can't be covered while your climbing/cutting in a tree and unfortunately your neck/face is the major one of them!

 

Hope that's not taken in the wrong way at all just merely giving my opinion on a tragic story.....RIP
