Nee airstreams

So its new boot time again and im wondering about the new airstream? Has anyone tried them yet? What are they like?

 

Ive had the old ones since they came out. Several pairs obviously but the fancy trying something new.

 

Also is anybody using the arbpro quickstep boots? The chainsaw ones.

I tried them on in a shop and they felt good, IMO.

I bought the Andrew Quickstep instead because I wanted the HAAS loop.

No advice sorry but I'll be keeping my eye on this as I really like the originals but just want to know if the extra cash is worth it for these 'new improved' ones.

They do seem bloody expensive.

Just get another set of originals until the price comes down on the new ones if you've found a boot that's good and comfortable and works for you keep it that way

I was wondering about them myself. What's the whole ascender clip thing like with spikes? I was worried about it digging in your ankle with spikes over the top?

Few changes, new sole which is meant to be extra grippy. Few other little bits. I think they seal at the top to stop sawdust getting in to.

Think that might be the plan tbh. Everywhere seems to gave sold ouf of the new one in my size. :-(

Actually makes no difference at all. I spent yesterday on spikes and found the Andrew to be better than Airstream because they are stiffer. Of course the drawback is that when not on spike, they are stiffer.
