Documentation when buying artic load

I'm looking to buy an artic load of wood. I need to prove it's been sustainably sourced and legally felled as I'm intending to process this myself for my own use (not selling) as a BSL registered Producer/Trader running a biomass boiler on the RHI scheme. So what documentation normally comes with the wood assuming from legitimate seller such as Tilhill or Euroforest? FSC, PEFC, felling licence etc.?

If you are buying in from any of these suppliers they should give you a COC (chain of custody )cert or number with the invoice.

oh, and dont forget your 70/30% of fsc 100% and fsc controlled wood. bsl and ofgem requirement.

When I've sold timber to BSL registered suppliers they've just asked for copy of felling licence. The FSC/non FSC split would only apply if the firewood merchant was claiming to supply FSC cert wood to their customers, then the chain of custody cert would apply also. An awful lot of bureaucracy just to burn wood.
