Pricing Planting Advice

Recommended Posts

Hi chaps,

Have been asked to plant 15 7ft ewe trees. It's not our normal thing but we have a big auger for our boxer so thought why not. Just after some advice really in how long it may take?

Spec is to plant 15 trees, dig 36" wide whole, 20" deep. Fill with 6" sand then 2" soil. Plant then back fill with top soil. All materials are on site, waste soil can be moved on site.

I thought maybe two men and a boxer one day? Never done it so would appreciate any advice?

Thanks

Definitely doable 2 men and machine in a day. But charge a day and a half for 2 men. That includes staking.

If site is quite sheltered and plants are firmly rooted. i.e dont rock in their rootballs or pots, you can get away without staking. Assuming pots around 18 inch diameter.

P.S on your invoice put Yew not ewe trees. Assume its the iphone being clever again.
