  1. Hi all, I've recently completed my CS30 Cross Cut and Maintenance and I'm looking to get into tree work as a groundie/labourer up in Newcastle upon Tyne/North East. I do want to get climbing and up into trees but I'm just trying to get my foot in the door in the industry. Would anyone be able to help out a newbie looking to get a start in the industry? Ideally looking for full time work but a few days here and there would be great so I can get some more experience under my belt. I'm keen to learn and get as much experience as I can and learn from some pros, I've experience snedding and felling trees but not a great deal but I want to learn as much as possible and make a good go in the industry. I want to get stuck in really and make my way in the industry a bit before I get other tickets. More than happy to do all the brash clearance and all the standard groundie/labourer stuff, develop my skills and go onto get all my tickets. Learning to drive so don't have my own transport currently but I'm more than happy to commute wherever needed. Got my own PPE and hunting for a decent ground saw. I do want to get climbing and up into trees eventually but I'm just trying to get my foot in the door in the industry first. Would anyone be able to help out a newbie looking to get a start in the industry? I'm keen to learn and get as much experience as I can and learn from some pros, I've got some experience snedding and felling trees but not a great deal but I'm happy to graft my arse off and get the work done and learn as much as possible. Learning to drive so don't have my own transport currently but I'm more than happy to commute where needed so long as its relatively local to the north. Got my own PPE and hunting for a decent ground saw. Any and all feedback welcome. Contact details: [email protected] 07468204944

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
