Hey guys, My 2013 Vermeer bc1000xl won’t start, it cranks but won’t fire. I have narrowed it down to being my fuel solenoid isn’t getting power and I have no idea why it is not. The computer is not allowing the solenoid to get 12volts for some reason. If I plug it in directly to the battery the Solenoid will open and I get fuel and she runs but if I wire it correctly the computer doesn’t send power and the solenoid stays closed and lets no fuel past. Any idea of how to fix this? has b3.3 Cummins motor

Is anybody else having the same issue with the Samson Vortex? I love this rope, but the new batches we've been getting have been doing this [see attached: new (left) versus old (right).] The sheath bunches up badly in my hitch, too. While I know this is not the case, it subjectively feels like there's 30% less core inside the sheath as compared to normal batches. Samson has told us that they acknowledge there is a defect, but that they haven't been able to replicate the bend themselves; all seven of our climbers can anywhere along the lengths of the six ropes that we've had this issue with. I'm really bummed--the Vortex was great in the hands, worked SRT and DdRT, and had practically no stretch--but the stuff we've been getting lately is worrying.

Hello, I'm new to the forum - this is my first post, so hello! I'm new to climbing too - I completed the NPTC course in August. I work as an ecologist so climb mainly to check trees for protected species. Anyway, I bought some Bashlin climbing spikes and they're just too long and painful to climb in (pretty much levering my kneecap off). Can anybody recommend some highly adjustable ones that would be suitable for me? I'm 5ft 1! Cheers, Emma Oh - and does anybody want to buy some barely used irons? Bashlin climbing spikes steel (straight), velcro pad -about £240 new!
