The Life of a Tree in paperback is finally here! A children's book for kids and adults. The idea behind this book was to make something interesting for both the child and the reader or adult and also to not attribute human characteristics or behaviour to the tree. Many aspects which benefit the surrounding ecology and us only occur when a tree is over mature or dying or even dead. This book illustrates that a tree can be a lot more than just a tree in its prime. Reviews are important to make it visible when people search for books so please review it if you buy the book! Can anyone recommend some books for someone new to repairing and maintaining chainsaws and brushcutters etc? I've done a fair bit of car maintenance with a suitable Haynes manual but Haynes do not seem to do one aimed specifically at chainsaws. I also know there's plenty of info online but prefer a reference book when I'm in the shed with the machine in parts! The plan will be to get something cheap and tatty to practice on. Thanks.

Hi all, I've just finished and released a new 131-page eBook covering chainsaw maintenance; written specifically for the UK market it not only covers various types of machine but also the underpinning knowledge about maintenance, legislation and H&S. It should be ideal for those entering the industry or those about to take their Level 2 Award in chainsaw maintenance. You can get your copy at Free Book Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys, I am at collage studying arboriculture and have recently started doing about pest and disease and am wondering if anyone could recommend me an identification book to carry when working and seeing jobs for both fungi and pest and disease. I realise that a definitive book wont be out there as our understanding is constantly changing but is there an identification book out there worth getting for arb purposes? Cheers Conall
