  5. That's quite a vague request We would need to know a bit more about your intentions to guide you to the right arb-truck
  6. Sure, I don't think too, there is always trades-off
  7. Many thanks I really appreciate your answer. I was looking at Dino's trailer. I will use the lift for forest edges. Around here, there are many houses built along the forest edges, and there have already been damages during strong winds or heavy storm.
  8. How much outreach would be enough ? I'd think of at least an arm with 8 m outreach
  9. Thanks ! You won't "recommand" spider lift then ? Maybe more lightweight and practical yet less effective in terms of pure work ?
  10. Hello guys ! Quick question from a beginner. For trimming tree, which mewp is better... rather, which one for you suits the most to this need ? Mewp with articulated arm or the telescopic one ?
  11. Morning all ! Wish you a pleasant and easy day
  12. According to what happens those days... I'd rather say we need to hide in a cavern (mostly our political hahaha)

  14. Sun came up with a peak of temperature after few days of rain..
  15. I know for sure that trailer aerial platform from Dino lift are really good stuff. There are some interesting trailer MEWP manufactured by AlmaCrawler. They both have versatile lift with often an electric engine.

Hey ! if your MS 180 chainsaws aren't running, here 2 most practical options IMO 1. Different technicians might have varying levels of expertise or willingness to tackle repairs on older models. 2. consider selling them as a job lot for spares or repairs. There's a market for used parts, and this could be the easiest way to recoup some value.
  18. Given your elm was already dead standing for 18 months, it's got a head start on drying. But with those 3" thick slabs, you're still in for a bit of a wait. While the inch-per-year rule is a decent benchmark, your scenario might shave off some time since the wood was pre-drying naturally. Keeping them outside, covered, with good airflow is spot-on. Just make sure to stack them with spacers for even air circulation. Your climate plays a big role here, so drying times can vary. A moisture meter can be a game-changer to check readiness without guessing. Even with the head start, I'd brace for it to take a good while, potentially less than the full inch-per-year guideline, but patience is key. If you're itching to get moving and have access to one, a kiln could speed things up significantly. Hope that helps,
  19. I don't see any problem with building around this pine tree, especially if you have the permits. As mentioned above, it's important to consider the growth of the tree and, most importantly, whether its roots will prevent you from building
  20. I might not be able to offer you technical advice since I'm in the process of changing careers, but I tip my hat to you for wanting to start your own business at such a young age.
  21. Asian hornets are the worst things living on this planet. Here in France, a lot of regions saw their coming... Not a year goes by at my place without a new nest being created; it makes work for some, but unfortunately, others have been severely stung.
  22. Thank you very much Mark !
  23. I see everyone praising the merits of the Hilux and the Dmax. Is it too much for a first experience?. Yeah I had the intent to have toolbox
  24. Mostly pruning for local facilities
