  2. i use mine when i get home from the woods as i take a few chains out and when i hit rock or steal i just change the chain out and redress it when i get home over a nice cup of tea . but for field touch up i still use a file and husky gauge .
  3. not on a saw but i have had it where the tiny diaphragm in the primer bulb breaks away so you cant suck/blow fuel through with it had the bulb replaced and it was all good for the next 5 years.
  4. same can be said between holtzformer and husquavarna dont you think?
  5. why would you think unlikely ? if husky bring out a new idea how long do you think it will take till you see Mr yingchung using it to make his budget special better ? not long . so that keeps the improvements coming which in my eyes is a good thing .
  6. and where would we all be if they didn't ? if they didnt make the bigger companies up grade and improve ? if they didnt make others think ok we gotta do better? I know i like my new 562 in comparison to my B&Q special .
  7. yup you only missed the Crimean war as you where celebrating your 21st .
  8. or you could look out for one of these . 32" HEAVY DUTY LAZY TONGUE TONG HAND RIVETER POP RIVET GUN + 320 RIVETS NEW 2348 WWW.EBAY.CO.UK 32" Lazy Tong Riveter Gun + Box of 320 Rivets. 32" Lazy Tongue Hand Riveter Gun + Box Of 320 Rivets. 9. i find the problem with all of these new fangeld chains is that they are all ok till you first file them . unless you spend out on there new file and re learn how to file a chain . or have them re ground by someone in the know.
  10. I wouldn't be slamming my bar tip into anything to test if the break comes on as you could damage the bar mounts as they are into plastic let alone what you have just done to your nice new sharp chain. the makita web site only says this saw has a break it doesn't say what type it is . so i would just take it as a normal kick back applied break and not a inertia one.
  11. I would ask him how much he would pay and when he says something stupid like £?? return that offer saying well i will buy them off of you for £?? as that's all you think they are worth and watch his face change .
  12. as GaterthM says let the saw and chain do the work and dont try forcing it . also make sure your depth gauge/ rakers are right and not on the soft wood depth if they are give your cutters a few passes with the file .
  13. you could just have the wrong mount on the wrap bbr has just done a video on it .
  14. yes i agree the chain comes in 100 ft rolls but the cutters arn't hardened on the on the roll . as said the wood was clean with no nails and it was off the ground so no hitting dirt .
  15. i checked the cut and found nothing this is why i put it out there encase its a bad batch of chain .
  16. nope as previously said clean wood no nails as i checked the cut when i saw the missing teeth .
  17. no i only used it in clean wood and no nails in it either as i checked the cut when i found out .
  18. anyone else had a origon chain shed its teeth ? I've just had a chain on its first sharpen throw 4 teeth ripped the top plate's off . when i looked at the rest there was no under cutting from sharpening and no sign of them hitting anything . would this be a manufacturing problem ?
  19. As above if you have one of these get it checked as in the states they are recalling a load due to Laceration hazards where the chain break dosnt come on quick enough RE: chicanic's latest youtube slot.
  20. to a fashion yes but you need to trim a tiny bit off the draper battery slot .
  21. i have a few of their battery tools and they are the same as the draper equivalent eg. the 1/2 drive impact is the draper storm 1/2 in drive impact.
  22. and they are parkside which is draper which is god only knows . but hey as a domestic saw they aint bad.
  23. not sounding daft but have you checked the fuel filter ?
  24. my version " It’s a good feeling taking a saw to bits that doesn’t run and putting it back together and hey presto. it still don't run "
  25. when asked how to keep your wife happy 8 out of 10 said don't be home when she gets there and the other 2 agreed completely.
