Can anyone help with sourcing a part for Hyundai hyc6200x chainsaw. I need a new clutch drum rim sprocket but am finding it impossible to find. The saw runs the 20" bar, .325 -.058. I can find the clutch drum but not the sprocket. It's definitely there in expanded diagram but with no part number. Any help will relieve insanity.

Not a lot of help I know, but aside from the fact they are of such poor quality attempting to repair them actually results in reverse engineering them to make them better than when they left the factory...added to the fact, the huge cost of shipping a load of sea containers over full of spare parts that most consumers won't buy as they are a budget machine, spares are pretty much non existant so we don't even have them through the door.
BTW...they are Korean..not Chinese. Not that it makes much difference

I fully agree it's crap. It broke on 2nd use but was refunded and told to keep the saw. If I can fix it for the sake of sprocket surely it's worth doing. I've got a husqvarna 135 mk 2 and a stihl 025 that are little workhorses but the 62cc is nice to have if needed.

I got some of it this winter. Burned beautifully. Seasoned in only around 5 months too. Got it to around 14% for the start of winter. About 8% now. Time to replenish the stocks though.

North Wales. Chances are slim. I've bought a 62cc 20" bar hyundai for pretty cheap. I'll give it a go with that this weekend. If you could help I would be massively grateful. It's very kind of you to offer and restores a little faith.

I go to work 5 days a week, the point is I don't intend on buying logs if can help it. But you are right on a price on time. With a 3 year old and 4 month old baby I've better places to be. Thanks for the advice it is very much appreciated. Plus the 025 might live to fight another day. I'll go for the free beech that's straight and free and 5 mins from home instead.

It's an old stihl 025 I've got. I have another McColloch 16" too but neither are particularly fearsome. The father I'm law is helping too but not sure what his saw is. I doubt over 20" bar though.

Most likely my fiskars x27 and spine turned to dust. I've got access to a 7tn electric splitter too. Is it a case of if I had a 'professional' set up then yes. Amateur set up a no?

Is it possible to cut this oak with only a 16" bar. 2 workers. Is it worth £100 and is a case of eyes too big for belly. To be used as firewood.

I have the opportunity to take some oak trunks for £100 to use for firewood. Are these worth the money and the time. There are 2 of us to cut but I only have a 16" and a 20" bar to go with. Is it too much to tackle?

Any tree surgeons in North Wales able to supply Hardwood at a reasonable price. Seasoned or not is fine.

Excellent advice. Muchly appreciated. Without asking I'd end up choosing something really unsuitable and just wasting my money. All the advice given is really helpful. Thanks to all who took time to post.

I can chop with a chainsaw. Not very effective I grant you. I do have axes and mauls for chopping. I promise to only use the saw for cutting.

The PPE is ordered and just waiting for delivery. Purchased before the chainsaw. I'm not planning on taking down trees as such more a case of cutting up what I can get hold of.

We always want something a little bigger. A trait of most men. Thanks for the advice. I guess I might aswell get something with more power and not necessarily need it than need it and not have it.
