But most of the time  greed, just greed.Hope will never happen to me.I did risky things in my time, but I risk only my life ,not of any others this is my ,first rule. At least stop traffic for holy moly and control pedestrians.

Currently looking to renew our fleet and as we spend around 2.5k + a month on diesel across 4 vehicles, 10-20% better economy can make a small difference to profits.

    Here are mine:

    2007 Transit tipper (Tows a mix of 650kg 5 inch chipper and 1,500kg 8 inch chipper) - 18.5 mpg

    2017 Transit tipper (Tows a mix of 650kg 5 inch chipper and 1,500kg 8 inch chipper) - 22.5 mpg

2017 3.2l Ford ranger (Tows 3.5t MEWP and 3.5t log trailer) - 21 mpg when towing approx 24-30 when not.

2014 transit connect eco something (Used for quoting and stump grinding) - 55 mpg

Looking to change to a 150bhp 2022 FUSO canters

My Fuso 3c13 eat 12 litres per 60miles in average towing chipper 750 kg. My is weaker version of 130 bhp I think, empty with no towing it’s 10 litres per 60 miles.

  3. Did I say that gentle (girly) man , is bad? I said that office is not a place for a toxic masculine man like me😉,so as battle field it’s not for a gentlemen, sorry you feel insulted ,I believe you are business man, don’t worry business is for real tuff guys. By the way I never insulted or hurth any woman in my life, I just quatly keep distance or move away . I did not want prove anything, opinion prove nothing, we just have it.

  4. Policing and army is a big strong and masculine man business ,unless a woman is masculine enough she have nothing to do there ,unless it’s administration or medicine.I have left few good jobs in the past just because woman’s was in the wrong roles, and I never hide this ,by the way office is pure girls job so if a man is not a girl enough he have nothing to do there this is my personal opinion, and I go to graveyard with it.

  5. Viva toxic masculinity and sexism,I am all in it, my oppressed woman, never work, never did any job outside of kitchen and a bed ,as I am so masculine I can’t trust her put my pfanners in washing machine, she have control of all our money, as I am so toxic masculine can’t even count them, add few holidays per year, and sometimes I got complains that I am not masculine enough 😵💫.By the way removing nice female bodies photos from the wall, cause they nude is actually a sexism🧐 i

  6. Msa 300 is a brick ,not even close to ms 261, heavyweight, hungry and just bad shape, only one battery saw I liked it’s Echo little top handle saving money for this one.I tried Husqiy battery top handle and didn’t like it at all ,it just me but battery saws is not there yet.Maybe for small maintenance.

  7. Never ,never price anything just by photo or video lads ,I eat that pill few times ,once I came to cut down small birch I was sure by photo it’s less than 10 m 30 cm diameter, when I came it was biggest birch I ever seen 😬,I did the job cause of reputation ,luckily customer was not a scumbag,so I got biggest tips ever ,still it was pure loss of time and money.

    Work towards their strengths.

Get some sheets of ply and take them to jobs like that.  They work wonders propped up against a wall, by a window, on shed roofs etc.

At least one  very good advice, plus garden gates and frame protectors, plus before work start you can always negotiate little dmg with client, most of the time they agree with minor issues.

@pleasant: thanks for the reply. I can totally see this from the dealer's point of view, and yes I'm sure "it's not been misfuelled" is a story they've heard a hundred times before.

But the thing is, I really am 100% sure that I've never misfuelled it, and if I did get it rebuilt, I don't know what I would do differently to stop it happening again.

    > in fact he will lose more by informing of this, as you probably won't have the repair done

Well... he might not be that wild about taking up the argument with Husqvarna; it's not exactly going to be a money-spinner for him. But still, I take your point, he's not saying this without good reason.

Is there anything else that could cause similar symptoms to under-oiling? A fault in the electronic mixture control leading to a lean air/fuel mix, maybe? In short, anything specific I should ask him to check?

Even knowing if it's something I've done wrong in the mix prep would at least put my mind at rest. I've always just got a 5L can of unleaded, dumped in 100ml of Stihl HP using the measure on the bottle, and then given it a good shake before pouring it into the saw. Maybe 1:50 is a bit of a lean mix, though it's what the manual says to use.

I guess it's possible the mixed fuel had been sitting in the can/saw for a couple of months, could that have caused the problem?

    Absolutely.
