  1. All the dead people are no more in numbers than the seasonal average for flu, fact. In the US for a kickoff it's been proven that no more have died through covid than on an average year through flu, except on an average year they don't balls up the whole economy. Think about it
  2. No, its not as hard as you think, and millions are taking it on board. In a year or so the "conspiracy theorists" (ie people who don't believe everything they see / hear) will be proven right
  3. Cheers Spud, kept looking at vintage stuff last night and going by the fuel filler location It's got to be a 4 prefix series I think as nothing else matches. Rare, whatever it is, and feels like a 40 odd cc saw
  4. It is a hoax Dave, no question. Thing is why...start looking at Agenda 21 on google and it begins to make more sense. increasing restrictions are just starting to get the masses into the right mindset, to get used to being forcibly ordered about "for their own good"
  5. It is a cock up on a major scale, and unfortunately the "I told you so" point is going to be at some stage over the next couple of years when there has been a global economic meltdown (or worse) and all is at the point of no return. I worry for youngsters now, we have just had two grandchildren and the way all this is going doesn't bade well for them
  6. Listening to the news today, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm stuck in some sort of weird dystopian dream that I can't get out of. I've not posted on here much in a while so if I've missed many other posts about Covid just say and maybe the thread can stop... There is now so much about the "virus"situation that's making no sense whatsoever, I'm questioning why more people don't seem to be questioning why odd inconsistencies keep coming up. So, now we are some months in after the initial drama unfolded we've had the government contradicting themselves on a frequent basis (understandable up to a point, they haven't had to deal with this before) and now a topical subject seems to be that nobody really knows if they are going to be wearing masks in schools or not. Ok, so can someone explain to me what kind of virus only apparently affects adults or at least children of puberty age upwards? Sorry but I simply don't get this, if flu is going round we can all potentially get it, not only people of a certain age and certainly not mainly people from ethnic minorities. And the weirdness doesn't stop there, does it. Suddenly in recent months cash is deemed to be "dirty", despite the fact that now a lot of the notes are polymer and can literally be washed - but to confuse things, apparently your mail / parcels (which will have been handled by a number of people) is absolutely fine to have dropped in your front door, Covid won't live on that...let's face it, this is just a few issues that immediately come to mind but the overall picture you get is that we have all got a vaccination coming, like it or not. Vaccination for what, exactly? And what's going to be in it? Do many forum users actually believe this is for real
  7. I collect older saws and just picked up this smaller 80's Husqy but serial number plate missing and going by google searches I'd assume it was a 133SG. But the fuel tank filler appears to be in the wrong position. It has one bar securing nut / stud. Can anyone confirm what it is, cheers
  8. No time to watch the vid now but all this sounds vital to see later. And yes, Alice Roberts is always good viewing, for sure
  9. I have had a few Tesoro detectors, (and still have the cheapest in their range now) they are highly regarded generally and on the whole easy to use. Interesting the idea of looking beneath trees, I was always under the impression that the only sensible place to scour was ploughsoil- logically this is right as most of the bigger hoards are pulled up from deep down by ploughs. That Celtic coin is a cracking find
  10. Ok Spud, he has tried to fish the tank filter out to check it but not enough slack there to get it that far?
  11. As above, I don't own this top handle and the enquiry is for a mate with no net access. His 150 tends to run ok if left upright, but turn her on the side to make a cut and it stops. Any ideas please
  12. I guess I should have clarified there, I think they tend to find an excuse and knock you off to take random parts as required
  13. As Mr Monkeybusiness noted, Jacks are terrific dogs, though don't expect the same level of obedience as loyalty (you won't get it), they pretty much do whatever the hell they want. I'm a bit of a convert having had larger dogs and previously a GSD before I met my other half, and now love hers as much as I have my own dogs. The barking and yapping can drive you a bit cranky too but having your dog stationed not too far from your tools at night is one of the best alarms you'll get
  14. I knew it could be bad over there but didn't realize organ harvesting was on the agenda. Christ, what next
  15. I don't usually post anything to do with politics / current affairs, but I'm sure a few forum members saw Panorama last night, I did and i'm going to make an exception. So, the general theme being China's notably slow response to notifying any other nation of the Covid threat, and how the government dealt with anyone who dared to mention the possibility of a pandemic threat, ie., they either disappeared or were bumped off (same thing, really). In a bit of a huff over the whole thing today I was pondering just how much stuff in my house / garage / car is made in the PRC - and it's a disturbing number of items. Clothes / textiles, obviously electrical and electronic goods, kitchen items - the list goes on and on. I understand more than a little of how the global economy works, and yes there's a lot of people in China who produce things to a high standard at low cost. But if one good thing needs to come out of all this Covid drama it's that we badly need to see a shift here; I want to start buying more goods made in Europe or America, regardless of it costs more. It was a relief just to look at the label on a vintage Husvarna in the lockup stating "Made in Sweden"
  16. Ok that could have been checked and worded a little better- I was hurrying. It came WITHOUT an air filter, I'm looking for an early Practica single screw mount air filter, unless someone has any suggestions about how to concoct a makeshift one
  17. And Stubby thanks also the reply didn't go unnoticed
  18. Spud, no effect at all however you touch the throttle- but I'll go through all the possible faults and that is a great help thanks
  19. I'm running a 357 for cutting chestnut and the model I use has been going great until a few days back. Once started on choke, when you yank the recoil again it will climb rapidly on the revs (and I'm not touching the throttle), and then after 10 seconds just stop. Everything that I can see is working normally on the switchgear, any ideas please what's occurring thanks
  20. A long shot, but does anyone have any spares / repairs or scrap Husqvarna 61 stuff lying about, I've bought an early model that came with filter, which has a single screw air intake fitment; nobody seems to stock anything but the later double screw mount option - though apparently you can switch the intake if you can get the carbs spares?
  21. A final update../Ebay upheld their Buyer Protection policy and refunded me, despite having pointed out to them that the courier seemed to be at fault not the seller. Pleasant surprise really
  22. Stubby yeah they do ask what item is and to be fair I leave the description fairly loose as "chainsaw" sadly reads "more valuable" to a lot of people and only last year myhermes "lost" a pair of chainsaw strides that eventually (2 months later) were compensated for. I don't buy the idea that items of a considerable size just disappear into the ether, sadly things are being nicked here and there. So its described as "garden machinery", which might help, I don't know. It wasn't described as a Husqvarna chainsaw, anyway. Lets be frank, all this crap about it being "disposed of" nobody with any sense is going to believe
