  1. Hi If ever you have large areas of scrub or vegetation to clear we have this flail on our mini excavator that we hire out with operator. We are based in Bristol but im happy to travel. Operator is fully qualified and insured. Many thanks James 01454 250676 [email protected]
  2. I am very much enjoying reading these ideas and scenarios, I did write something up this morning but I think I will have to sit on it for a bit and come up with something that is going to benefit all of us.
  3. This is what I had in mind, like you said it gives them an incentive to look after the kit a little more and the better ethos. I will have a play around with this tomorrow and come up with something to suit. 👍
  4. Haha I like that idea but yeah I don't think your allowed to take wages! Although I'm not 100% sure. I though about giving them each of them say £100 and after say 3 months you can have it but if you have broken anything I will deduct it from that lump sum and if there's any left you can keep it!
  5. True I know things get broken and **** happens but it seems to get more and more lately so I think I need to put something in place that will sink in and make them think. I'm pretty laid back person so I don't go around shouting and screaming at staff id rather over come a problem with a solution.
  6. Do any companies offer a reward or bonus to there staff? We seem to be getting a few breakages lately and I want to offer a bonus to the person who finishes the month with the least amount or no breakages, in hope that it might make the guys be a little bit more careful as there could be a cash prize at the end of the month!
  7. Sorry to sound like a miserable git but from experience with new kit yes you do have to do a check on nuts and bolts as yes they do come loose after a few hours use. A loose pipe will not be covered under warranty!
  8. Ok but it'll probably cost less to go through insurance than replace a damaged driveway and reputation?
  9. Not everyone carries it but to begin with should you not have a spill kit in the van for oil spillages? The pads you get with it absorb oil extremely quick. And also if the driveway is that badly damaged can you not just go through your insurance?
  10. In my opinion, if your buying one for your use as well as hiring it out I wouldn't bother as you know as soon as you get it back from hiring it out it'll be broke and you can't use it. We run a1.8 ton machine and I won't let any other bugger use it as its too valuable on our sites.
  11. Hi sandspider I have just PM you. We are fairly local and would be more than happy to discuss a price James
