  1. I've just seen this, last year i done some research on chainsaw trousers. i found It doesn't matter what Brand you wear as an outer, and it's not all down to the class of trouser ( although 2/3 are better obviously) i have seen a report on a well known brand, the questions they asked were what saw did you use? (for the speed of the saw) was it a new chain? and maybe you guys might not think of this one, but how often do you wash your trousers. The report came back saw was too fast for class 1, old dirty chain and trousers hadn't been washed for over 6 weeks outcome user at fault. I looked into washing trousers a bit more, the KWF recommend wash every two weeks or 24 washes maximum before you re-new your trousers, so basically buy a new pair once a year but make sure you wash what you have a least every 2 weeks, as oil, dirt and weather conditions effect your trousers by weakening the fibres in the blocking material, and can reduce your protection by up to 70%. off to visit my whirlpool machine now
  2. I've been wearing Protector Pro's for years, I don't like change so wasn't too sure, but i have to say they have improved what i thought couldn't be improved. 15 years of wearing these boots, you can keep your fancy colours, get a boot that really does work and lasts.
  3. I guess Tonimedic you were the guy from Celox working on Buxtons stand when i visited the APF? Looking forward to meeting you again for the vital training you will be giving myself and a few other guys in January, and i can't believe something as important as this is FREE (yes you read it right FREE) to our industry, your phone must being ringing off the hook Toni. I will let all you guys know how it went in early January. Get involved before it's too late.

  5. Had my Simarghu personal kit for a while now, and thank god i have never had to use it, but doing the course so i know i'm using it right.
  6. Well they told me that they have just had theirs done, so surely they would have been told about the change coming before spending a load of dosh on the test.
  7. After visting Buxtons stand at the APF 2018, they had the guy from Celox on there doing demo's on how to use it, he sold out in the first day. He told us he does FREE Training Courses any where in the UK for 5 or more people. Got ours booked for January 2019.
  8. Just bought a set of Tripod Ladders and they're tested to EN131, well done Workware for putting me in touch with one of their dealers that stocks the ladders, and for giving me the information that they have had them tested too EN131. Can use them anywhere now.
  9. I have been out of the country for the last 8 months and read about this at the weekend, I went to my nearest supplier to ask about what First Aid they would recommend in such events to try and save my life or lives of others to help prevent such tragedy as the one Alex had unfortunately suffered (RIP Mate) I noticed while I was there they had 3 or 4 to chose from. The customer service was great and I went with what they recommended. I may have only got 3 items in the personal First Aid Pouch to put on my harness, which included the Celox Rapid which along with my Hi-Viz Cat Tourniquet and Israeli Field Dressing for my £95-00 but left feeling more satisfied at spending the extra on something I hope I never have to use.
  10. i'm using the new Simarghu Harness, it allows me to put 3 bridges on it all independant. get on it
  11. Treemotion, the waistband is the least thing to worry about, it's had about 4 recalls for one reason or another over the past few years, there are better Harnesses on the market now.
