Hey up trig, I’ll try again, under current law she would be led away for contempt, you know like I know ‘we’ aren’t going to muzzle/spit hood people during sentencing, maybe in the street but not during sentencing.  I’m sure you also know she won’t be put on a mens wing, when in a cat C the wing got shutdown for 4 days when four cat A’s were being transferred, can you imagine the whole wing being locked down full time for a cat A female.

    Ok.

I doubt very much she would say a peep. Since she's too scared to leave her cell she'll sure as hell not say a word in the Dock. It would give those who have suffered at her hands a change at some sort of closure. The opportunity to look her in the face if not the eye and vent (read impact statements) to her that she should have to endure and hopefully haunt her for the rest of her life.

Where she to have a complete change in personality on the stand then she'd only make the fury she'll receive locked up even more unbearable than its already going to be.

Ok, perhaps I should have made it more clear, as the law on sentencing stands do you think people should be forced into the dock,

    yes

I’m not sure if nutters should be forced into the dock where they can carry on plaguing the victims families.

They could and should be restrained from such actions. Spit hoods or a muzzle.

Bearing in mind if she gets ‘done’ for contempt she can’t get any more bird.

She could get thrown into the mens wing where they'd use her a human fleshlight. Its all that she deserves.

Not hiding behind anything Nd, I just can't be bothered trying to have a calm, reasoned
discussion with you, it's not possible. Besides, there's nowt wrong with a bit of humour to lighten the mood sometimes.

Lockdowns, (and other associated mitigation measures), were a necessary evil. Hugely damaging obviously, but necessary in the circumstances nonetheless. I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone in that viewpoint, but if I am then so be it. Incidentally, had we had an honest and competent government at the time then some of the negative consequences could have been significantly lessened. Also, there were some positive aspects that you tend to overlook.

At the end of the day it's in the past, you can't change anything. Doesn't matter how much you rant and whine about it on here. There's a host of far more important issues that urgently need addressing. This topic wastes far too much bandwidth.

    Good grief.

I don’t know trig, we could bang on about it forever, it still isn’t going to change what happened.

The more people bang on about it, the more people realize we where all lied to and all conned into accepting the BS the more is will stay in out collective consciousness and the less likely we are to allow it to happen again. Hence why I added that quote regarding those that forget the past are destined to repeat it.

Im not sure why you think other people are of the opinion that banging on about it will change whats happened though? I have yet to see any evidence for your line of reasoning, literally no one is suggesting what you seem to believe.

Lots here carried on as normal, I went out to earn my coin like lots of others did, your story is different due to the work you do. Yes, I genuinely feel sorry for the children that suffered, but what is done is done, we can’t change history, we can learn from it, but not change it.

Who suggested we change it? The only people Ive seen trying to change it it those that advocated for the most stringent of lock downs and the victimizing of the unvaccinated and are now pretending that never happened. So its paramount its not brushed under the rug because there will be another 'pandemic' and to prevent the same lunacy happening again we need to collectively remember the farce that happened during covid.

It is probably something we aren't going to agree fully on, and like a lot of stuff isn't clear cut, black and white "Keep the kids at home" (or any of us), but the other choice might have been to watch a load of their parents die (OK I am being extreme here).

Within the rules of the time there was still plenty of scope to get out and about as a family and explore - just not with their friends.

Can't deny that the mental stuff was tough.... but equally tough for all ages.

One last thought I have on world wide issues is "What did the Russians do", a big country with perhaps being the least influenced by US money, and a complete nutter in charge, who also had lockdowns.... so whatever hindsight tells us, the scientists worldwide were saying the same thing.

But... not sure we will agree on this one

No, we'll never agree that a fully developed adult both physically and mentally had it just as bad as an immature child during lock down.

Personally I spent around or just over 200 days in isolation during Covid due to my job. By the end it was very detrimental to my mental health. Yet having personally experienced that I can still say with personal experienced that is was far worse for the children and youths. They are not nearly mentally or physically developed to deal with such extremes for such an extended period of time.

Likewise the adults... point is that I don't think we can single out children as particularly vulnerable, all of society was affected about equally.

The young, particularly children at this age are vulnerable, there is laws in place to protect them because of this vulnerability. Kids being kids need to get out and see their friends and explore. To lock them in their houses for months at a time and subject them to what is tantamount to abuse with covid restrictions and masks etc and even coercing them to take needless experimental injections was disgusting. Of course they have been affected far more than adults when at that age they need nurtured and cared for. They are far more inexperienced in life than adults and to subject them to everything that was covid and its knee jerk reactions when they are not mentally prepared for it is the main reason they felt a far heavier burden that adults.

    believe what you want 🤷‍♂️

delivery for anything takes at least two days here, I’ve never experienced next day delivery, no reason why logosol parts would come quicker than any other make sold in the same country, if it’s in stock its in stock, if it’s not it’s not!

I don’t like to ring up to order stuff, I like to click on a straight forward website what I want.
The importer for Norwood (and frontier) is a large company selling all sorts of forestry stuff with a great easy to use website with prices (there’s other “Swedish made” saw mills who don’t have prices, it’s all “ask for a quote” - not what I like) so at the time, yeah easier as their website was easier and more comprehensive.

just had a quick look, the logosol site does look a lot better now.

But another deciding factor at the time was price for the specification I decided I wanted - the logosol was more than a grand extra.

which is why I reckon it’s important to decide what specs are important to the individual before choosing a make

    Thanks for the rely. :)

The availability of Logosol parts is very good though. They are all in Sweden and Ive had nothing but first class service from them. They also throw in a lot of stuff for free if you ask nicely, or they'll discount off of the official price sometimes. Like I said, I find it hard to believe that in Sweden they could be bettered. It was not meant in a derogatory way, I should have perhaps worded it better.

I agree Logosol is a good bit more in price but you really do get what you pay for. Ive abused my B751 for near on 4 years now and its always been out in the rain and still looks almost as good as it did when new, zero rust. Still cuts well and Ive only had to change out basic service parts.

Out of interest how do you get on with the Ceramic blade guides, or has the newer Norwoods got rollers?

the makita one is only 5v output , the makita code is DEAADP05

i did just try and look what the dewalt output is but i can't seem to see it... however, phones are normally charged at 5 volts so i guess it must be 5v output too

Thanks. :) Whats the cross over parts you've used to attach to the battery?

Is your arse smarting? Because I have literally spanked it.

You should stick to the topics you are familiar with Andy.

What on earth are you talking about? You've entered a topic where you have zero knowledge of and have spouted nothing but gibberish. Conversely unlike you this is a subject I am actually very familiar with.

Best you stick to White Knighting and your male sex fantasies....

So you have no experience of living in Sweden and have never lived there or visited Malmo.

Relying instead on what you read via sources that align with your view of the world.

Try buying a Husqvarna chainsaw in Stockholm, the capital city in the very country they are made in. You can't because nobody sells them.

I have a lot of experiance with Logosol, a Swedish Company that ships Logosol parts from Sweden. I have received any part I have requested within days shipped to Scotland from Sweden. This is the crux of the discussion, the availability of parts in Sweden and from my empirical POV its has been extremely easy to obtain Logosol parts from Sweden.

Have you ordered either Logosol or Woodmizer parts from Sweden? No, you're just being your usual twatish self, White Knighting for another member on here who I believe I directed my initial comment to. Why you feel the need to defend someone on a subject you apparently have next to zero experience in is anyone's guess, my guess is because you're an argumentative twat. :)

    Very cool!

Ive got the Laser set up now but was not sure which way to go to power it. I like what you've done with the Makita battery, could you share the parts list? Id want to use my DeWalt batteries but they are 18v and the laser is supposedly 12v, not sure if thats an issue or not?

How long did you live in Sweden for Andy, did you do alot of milling when you were there?

I know Josh must have lived there for well over a decade, speaks the language has a son with a Swede in his second house, built a big shed with the timber produced from his own mill.Mills for other people too.

Where abouts did you live in Sweden, what was your favourite part of the country?

I periodically order Logosol parts directly from Logosol in Sweden and regardless of the part I order it’s with me within days. I can’t imagine someone who actually lives in the country would have a fundamentally different experience than myself. I’d imagine it would be significantly easier and quicker for him given your comment above.

My favourite part of Sweden is Malmö, I just love the positive attributes diversity has brought to the city.

Interesting view she has. I'd argue that those who died of COVID probably paid the highest price.

Not really, the vast majority of those who died of (not with) Covid where at the end of a very long life anyway. They'd have died from Covid or the Cold regardless. The ones who have paid the highest price are the young.
