It's your inability to understand that words don't always come across as intended that got us here in the first place. Maybe time for a bit of snorkelling then, make the most of it while you can.

1)You ask a question which comes across as a loaded question (and you have form on that type of thing). 2)He gives you an answer/response that should put the apparent nature of your question to bed. 3)You ask more questions to try and get more information (which could come across as trying to find more specific information, or alternatively common ground following earlier antagonistic conversations) 4)He gives you responses that indicate that he has no interest in giving you the answers you want. 5)You get all grumpy with his responses 6)Others try to point out what has happened 7)You argue your point and ask others to prove you wrong (never an easy thing when the vast majority of your posts are edited at one point or another), but in this case it wasn't about a clear statement/question which you did or didn't ask, but implication of what was asked and responses. and so it goes on and on and on. Maybe get off the sun lounger, go and put your phone in your room and pick up a book or have a walk or swim, surely any of those are more relaxing then arguing with random anonymous people on here.

As Steven said, look back at your posts and his responses. It was blatantly obvious from an outside perspective that he didn't want to give you information that would identify himself to you, but if your colleague was in the same crew he could have done, so he was trying to appease your apparent need for proof that he was in the services without going further. Maybe your level of persistence and inability to read between the lines is the problem.

My guess is: If you show the picture to your mate and he was on the same boat he'll be able to work out who he is and likewise with the list of places, find common ground! Evidently he doesn't feel like giving everyone on an open forum all of his personal info, but was hoping to satisfy some of your curiosity.

It's interesting to read how the same rules don't apply to both sides (in the view of the current administration), with regards to the appropriate responses in the wake of "political violence". "Trump responded by making repeated jokes at Paul Pelosi’s expense." and how despite Trump's obsession with "radical left violence": "all extremist-related killings in the US in 2024 were connected to rightwing extremism, just as they were in 2023 and in 2022" The US is on the brink of another era of political violence – and Donald Trump ‘couldn’t care less’ | Jonathan Freedland | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM In their humane responses to the killing of Charlie Kirk, Democrats are observing the old norms. Things are different...

Not what it sounded like on the wireless! Sounded more like rumours, pounced on by Nige trying to whip up some more trouble. "Officers did provide a foot cordon around protesters on their way to the protest, where they and others were allowed to exercise their right to protest," he said. "Later, some people who were clearly at risk of being hurt were also escorted by vehicle away from the area for their safety." Maybe they're talking bollx, maybe they're not, but it seems unlikely that the police are going to bus one side to the place where others are protesting to increse the chance of things kicking off, unless it's all part of some great masterplan !?

Maybe not the full story? Essex Police denies taking pro-migrant protesters to asylum hotel WWW.BBC.CO.UK Essex Police says it is not "collaborating" with people supporting asylum seekers in Epping.

He's a comedian, you don't give the impression that you've been testing out new satirical material for your next stand up tour!

Why do you continue to insist on asking about saws in threads that are either about potus (president of the united states!) or the current news? There are whole threads and sections of this website dedicated to saws and other equipment where those questions are much more likely to be answered, you could even use the search function if there's a particular saw you'd like to chat about. In all likelihood most on here do or did much of their work with saws, or have an interest in trees and that's what brought them here in the first place. But much like other "industry" related forums, much of the bandwidth of the forum (too much in reality with all the bickering) is used up by people talking about other stuff. Again, as with many other places on the internet, there are always a few loudmouths who like to show off, boast, have a debate, pick a row, play devil's advocate or just shout down anyone that they disagree with, and again there will always be those who push back against them. With the current political situation, society is massively divided and those on either side have moved further and further apart and feelings are strong on both sides in terms of the passion they have for their viewpoint and the dislike they have for the other. As for meeting each other and saying the same thing face to face. Some love an argument anywhere they can find one, in real life or online and have probably got into a few scrapes because of it. Many others aren't keen on conflict and physical confrontation in real life and would probably do their best to avoid the loudmouthed agressors in the first place (does that make them a coward?) which is generally quite easy as they can usually be spotted (or heard) a mile away, gobbing off about one thing or another.

a quick Google brought this up for the US! "In 2024, the average annual cost of individual health insurance in the United States was US$8,951, while the average cost for a family policy was US$25,572" Probably why there are so many uninsured people where it isn't part of their salary package (those with less money and in lower earning jobs) and why the cuts to medicare are such a massive problem for the less wealthy.

Maybe you should share with them all of the posts you have made that have led to accusations of racism, then allow them to make their minds up. You clearly have the ability to be pleasant to anyone in a working situation, but as your persona on here demonstrates, you have multiple prejudices, many of which come across as being based on race and religion, as well as other "protected characteristics".. Despite banging on about your openness and honesty, your online version is very open about these prejudices, and if you behaved in the same way in in the real world would probably result in your working life being less successful.

Have you explained to your "coloured" and Muslim colleagues why others on here accuse you of racism etc on such a regular basis, whilst very few others on the forum receive such accusations?

What a nice man you are!

Adolescence is an amazing piece of TV and we'll worth a watch if you have kids, or don't. We watched it with our teenage boys and my eldest thought it was one of the best things he'd seen, in terms of how it was made, the acting and the subject matter which is a mystery to many of us and chilling. If you have teens it's worth watching with them for the conversations if nothing else. For any that haven't seen about it, it's worth knowing that each of the 4 episodes was filmed in a single shot. The videos on how it was done are pretty good too.

What a strange response! Fortunately Dave my comment didn't imply that I was having any visions of your cock I'm glad to say, but if that's what you want to think you carry on. I can only assume that you're so lacking in self awareness that you simply don't realise the amount of your posts that can come across as boastful. You may well not be like it in the real world, but on here it doesn't seem to matter the subject, you've always done more than the person whose opinion you disagree with. Whether it's kit, cars, hours worked, distance driven, countries visited, nationalities worked with, years spent doing whatever, dirtiness of truck, tax paid, engine size, number of guns etc etc, you're forever claiming to have a greater entitlement to voice your opinion on whatever subject than the next person. It all pretty tedious really.
