  1. There's a website called zeemaps that you could do this on. You can add pinpoint markers with descriptions. I've made a quick demo one here.
  2. Is it possible to tell whether an almond tree is sweet or bitter almond just by looking at the tree or the fruits on it?I've searched online & there doesn't seem to be anything specific. There are a couple of trees in an avenue that I pass regularly. I've harvested a few & roasted them (which apparently reduces the toxin level if they're bitter) but still don't know which variety they are. They don't taste sweet or bitter!
  3. Couldn't agree more about the heart rate, not sure if it's a good thing at the minute.I'm 60 with high blood pressure! That's what it's about. That's always been my philosophy.Unfortunately the law thought otherwise. Can't argue with that.
  4. Anything creative. My main interest is leathercraft. My last project was a pair of saddlebags for a western saddle. Not forgetting,of course, tree climbing!
  5. I've been reading the forum for a while now & I appreciate that you're all professionals that do this for a living. People consider rock climbing as a hobby or sport, why not tree climbing?I always loved climbing trees as a child & have recently rekindled that interest. The reaction from family though is,"Are you mad?" "Don't you think you're a bit old for that?" I have all the necessary safety equipment & am competent in it's use. I'm sure if I'd taken up rock climbing, the reaction would have been different. Why is there such a distinction between the two?
  6. Hi all, first registered a few weeks ago & have been 'lurking' ever since.Gonna post a new thread but thought I'd say hello here first.
