Hi,

With a new saw (or new chain) I tend to run the chain a tiny bit slacker at first, new chains seem so stiff & clunky but they soon loosen up. When I used pump fuel (Use Husky Power2 or Aspen as I have asthma) I used to mix 45:1 - a little bit more oil for the first couple of tanks just when it was bedding in & not be too ambitious in what I cut, say no more than about 6-8"

Also if it doesnt say so in the manual, I would lightly grease the clutch needle bearing periodically? depending on use Huskvarna states 45hrs weekly but thats for continuous use. may be worth considering, some Stihls go wrong becuase it no longer mentions greaseing the bearing in the manual! I replace mine annually on my Stihl as theyre only about £3

ANyway let us know how you get on and I think you have a real bargain, will definitely get one to replace my Stihl when it goes!

al the best

Noel
