  8. Good for road haulage but less so for in the wood or tight driveways.
  9. Less concerned about the legislation more worried about the mechanical reliability/safety issues. Wheel bearings going, blow outs ect
  10. Just upgraded the old 40k tractor to a Valtra with a 57k box All my current trailers are 6 stud axles on flotation tyres Is anyone towing at speed on 6 stud axles? Any issues? Should I be upgrading to 10 stud axle trailers? Looking at upgrading the old Botex euro 8 timber trailer for a new larger one, these seem to come in 8 stud only.
  11. Still on the look out for someone. Ideally a 480 size machine
  12. Looking for an experienced forestry hand cutter on a self employed basis for a large project starting soon in Haslemere. Top rates paid for reliable and productive operator. Must be experienced in hard and softwood. Machinery experience an advantage. Nice kit & nice site. Full or part time at least 6 months work. Grayshott Tree Services
  13. Looking for up to date price per tonne for good to high quality Oak log roadside. Have around 300 tonne available shortly in the South.
  14. Left on site. I'm only really worried about theft and vandalism cover, I can't be carting round fence panels everywhere we go, JCB cover machines on private land without fencing but won't touch tree work, neither will anyone else it would seem. Tempting to try and cover it for general ground works but when your called Grayshott Tree Services and its been stolen from a forest I don't think they will pay out!
  15. I'm with trust, they require a heras fencing around the machine, which isnt practical.
  16. Running out of options here, any more suggestions?
  17. Cornish mutual also not covering tree works
  18. JCB have also confirmed they don't cover tree work.
  19. JCB through cover sure are offering a good price, the sales man has promise the world though and I'm wary. Basically has told me its insured for anything anywhere, doesn't even need a fence around it. Unable to show me the policy wording that backs this up however.
  20. NFU informed me they no longer insure diggers used for forestry/tree work
  21. Who do you insure your diggers with? And for what use? Got an arb/forestry digger that needs theft and vandalism cover out in the woods and in gardens. Cheers
