  1. Hi i was wondering if someone could help me out, i have a rebuilt ms200t it was working well after it got broke in. Can someone tell me how to tune the carb without a tacho, iv had a look online but everything seems to be different. At the moment the saw runs but will not idle, iv been messing about with it and made it worse. I put the l screw fully clockwise then a full turn back anticlockwise and put the h screw fully anticlockwise. Not sure where to put the LA screw as the range of adjustment on it is huge. Cheers

    Stihl MS200t

Hi wondering if you could please help me out, rebuilding a ms200t for the first time. Im getting on ok, one stupid thing i did was to forget where the impulse line goes. I have the end of the wee hose on the crankcase just below where the cylinder sits, im not sure where the other end goes. Iv looked through an online manual but couldn't see it. The only place i can see it might go is through the bottom of the handle and connecting roughly to the tank breather, but i have a feeling this isnt right. Any help whould be much appreciated.
  4. If you do freight it, im pretty sure if you declare it as a gift you can get away with some extra charges.
  5. Would taking the arrestor out void the husky warranty? Or could you just put it back in if you have to send it for repair?
  6. Trustworthy, hard and tidy worker, basic chainsaw cert, own PPE and transport. Looking for any days i can get next week in central Scotland as my usual boss is on holiday, give me a shout if you are needing an extra person on a job. 07842 795 657 Paddy
  7. Cheers for the advice, nah i wasn't planning on putting a 20" bar on it i was just wondering about the theory and different chains. I was planning on running a 15" and maybe buying an 18" later to try it out. Would you still recommend the 560 over the 550 if 15" is all i need for now? cheers
  8. Sound, is narrow kerf what husky call their PIXEL range? Im looking at buying a 550 for first saw, hopefully she will last a while as frjones are pretty cheap with their deals at the moment but still going to make a heavy dent.
  9. Hi sorry to bring up an old thread just in the process of buying a saw and trying to get clued up with everything. On the husky site they say you can run a 550 on a 20inch bar which i know someone all ready said its possible but not worth it. I know this isn't ideal but if you had a 550 with 20inch bar could you run a .325 skip tooth? If so what would the outcome be? Im just trying to get a feel for this, i know you wouldn't usually use skip tooth on a small bar but with an "underpowered" saw or big bar for the saw, which ever way you want to put it, would this make any sense.
  10. Hi sorry old thread, I am starting to get my basic PPE at the moment. Regarding helmets I am just starting off so i know I'm not getting off the ground any time soon. Having said that i have been advised to just go straight for a climbing helmet due to the fact that there is only one ground helmet with chinstraps (which i have been told save a a lot of messing around by keeping it on your head. If all goes to plan, one day i am going to need to buy another helmet anyway. Im of the view buy good buy once. Thoughts, opinions please?
