  1. Hi all I have a husky 61 and for love not money I can't get it to start fresh fuel new plug. Carb cleaned air filter clean. It run for a couple of seconds then stopped again I know it's an old saw but I like the heavy saw that it is. I'm just loosing the will to live trying to get it started. Any advice or if anyone still has one would be appreciated.
  2. I was on parade today and have lost friends I served with never forgotten.
  3. I get that mate. But if I can save you the cost of desposing or helping anyone out then I will. It's gone the days when my old man started the logging business 30 years ago where everyone would help one another. But I do get where your coming from, if people say no that's fine but if I can help anyone then get in touch.
  4. You laugh mate but I get asked often if I will take arb waste or even complete trees. My late grandfather always said don't ask you don't get.
  5. Hi all after hardwood arb waste for firewood can take as much as you can give. Wil save on cost of getting rid of it through others means. I'm located in Dorset.
  6. Well done butt keep at it and be proud of what you have achieved. One thing I learnt in the military always keep busy and enthusiastic it gets you reckonised at takes you a long way
  7. In asda they have one called SAS and comes with a warning on the bottle will get a pic and show you next time I'm in there. I'm a bit of a chilli freak so will try most of them on the market but the colour of this one worries me.

    Stihl 041

Hi all. Been offered a stihl 041a what are people's opinions on them I tend to go for husqvarna so all opinions greatfull. Will be used for cutting up rings for firewood. Cheers Taff
  11. Sorry guys in Dorset. Always helps when you put a location a lol
  12. Any hardwood arb waste wanted for firewood logs. (Not twigs lol). Any amount considered free better lol.
  13. I did some research about the f qual today and found not a great deal about it. I'm interested in doing it as my army qualifications mean very little In civvi street even though my medical training is of a high standard and covers crushing catastrophic bleeding. Steer clear of the celox in granular form as previously said. If you can get hold of the bandage type I'd say it's a life saver.
  14. Celox is amazing bit of kit and a must in your kit. I am still a serving soldier and would recomend buying it. I am fortunate eneough to be trained to deal with trauma through the military and also an instructor/team medic. I have a tourniquet as part of my kit but have to be carefull with using on civilians, a catastrophic bleed without the skills and equipment to treat ends in one thing.
  15. 20" bar will be the main length being used. The 24" will be ideal for most of the oak but like said before its having that option to go up to 28" for when needed. Thanks to all that have commented much appreciated a vast amount of knowledge from all on this site. Will more than likely go with the 365.
  16. I just went off the spec on the husqvarna website saying it would go up to a max of a 28" bar. I would not use that size on a regular basis but would be there there to use if needed at times. Can't fault the wealth of knowledge on this site and thank you for all that help with the advice.
  17. Yeah sorry x-tourque. I seen a few 365 special second hand but do like the idea of the extra cc's,
  18. Hi guys Just looking at the husqvarna 365xp. Anyone got any good or bad reviews on the model. I liked the idea of the 70cc and bar length max goes to 28" I've got some big oak so with it going up to they size again ticks the box.
  19. Thanks for the fast replies. How long to dry out. I'm the one who's got to cut it so if it's a waste of time then I won't bother with it. Doing as a favor
