  6. Guys, I need a tractor with front loader and 16 tonne trailer to move a few loads of wood in the Wolverhampton area if anyone has any contacts. Cheers
  7. The Buddleias had 9 Peacock butterflies on yesterday out of the 37 we counted. There were 2 painted ladies, 3 holly blue and numerous others.
  8. My daughter and I did it yesterday and counted 37 which we thought was quite high.
  9. You have to understand that there is a sub culture of people who don't work and never have, who stealing is the way they make some money for drugs and beer. They have numerous children with different women and feel that the world owes them a life. I deal with them every day of the week in my job, hardly any work, they have illnesses even doctors haven't heard of and value no ones life other than their own. Most are on anti depressants, recovering addicts, either drugs or alcohol and don't give a flying f--k for you, your kids or anyone else. No wonder the NHS are in trouble looking after the freeloaders. Look after yourselves and yours the best you can.
  10. I've been out and planted 100 oak trees in my back garden. That's £80k towards my pension in 30 years time less the cost of a new chainsaw. I'll chop down 20 a year and charge for someone to collect and clear up and if I keep planting in the meantime, I reckon I'll be a millionaire by the time I'm 120! My kids will be sorted! Gotta go, just popping around the neighbours to see if I can plant their gardens as well!
  11. That makes it more complex as you now have the wet side to deal with. Depending on where your current pipe runs are and the current set up, i.e combi or gravity depends on how easy it is to link in. If it's a conventional or system boiler and you want to do your hot water then your cylinder will need a second coil unless it already has one. That would require a new cylinder, although there are other ways to achieve it. If it's a combi then you won't have a cylinder and would need to install one. Could be £1000's or could be £500. All depends on what's there now. Cheers
  12. It's all a load of bs. Flue liner is £13 a metre here Flue Liners , Chimney Flue Lining, Fire Flue, Cowls & Accessories | - FlexiFlueDirect.com A 6" adaptor to stove pipe is £18 Top clamp is £11 and a rain cowl is £25 So assuming a 7m flue which is more than enough for most large chimneys that's a total cost of £145 with free delivery. Stovesrus with throw in a stove pipe, register plate and co2 alarm along with free delivery. The stove fitters manual online will fill you in on the fitting of the stove. Away you go. When you sell your house, if you have no certificate, the same as you won't have a certificate for your boiler or a Fensa certificate for you double glazing, you pay less than a £100 for an insurance that covers the new owner should any work be required to rectify the install. It's money for old rope in most cases with the majority of straight fits taking half a day for two blokes. Even if you buy the register plate £10 and a stove pipe for £30 it's still only £185 and that's assuming 7m flue which it probably won't be that long. So that's between £700 to a £1000 labour to actually fit it! My mate did one last week into a ready made fireplace and it took him 2.5hrs for the two of them and they charged £750 inc materials and still cleared £300 each. It was cold though.
  13. All you need to know is here... The Stove Fitter's Manual | How to fit a wood burning stove Leave it alone if it's working fine.
  14. I have an 18KW stove with water jacket that heats the house and the hot water. I fitted it 20+ years ago and my original stove split at the rear as I think I ran it too hard. The current stove has been in for the last 12 years with no issues. The system works on gravity. I have a smaller 8kw Firefox in the kitchen and a Woodwarm on order for my mother. This site is good for reviews from owners..Welcome to WhatStove stove review website - WhatStove.co.uk Cheers
