  1. there is a slight back lean. was thinking rope high up attached to digger (arm could be in lowered position) make cuts and pull over. a slow but continuous pull
  2. sounds like a good shout. i'll have to reassess the situation when I get there. not sure if the digger can reach half way up the tree
  3. thought about that. it's scot's I think and if you've ever worked with it you will know how brittle it is i'd be afraid the digger would snap it off it's hinge. there's a slight back lean

  13. was going to used 40ton digger to pull it over. problem with throw line in old pine is they get stuck in the bark and ivy. the trunk is only about 25" but the ivy about 3m
