No this is all I have Steve just the two photos.
I just don't want to wast the man's money milling it .
from my experiences it just does not look right with all that sap wood.

I cut at 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 to allow for shrinkage and planning and 10 ft long as I can manage to carry that on my own .

This was just a zinc canopy the length of the michine but over the exhust of the engine about 6 inches wide on to a what looked like a 9 inch flue pipe centre location.

Seen this sort of set up before and it had a canopy much like a snooker table with a chimney on.enabling the mill to travel.

Very Sad news, very talented man .Rick was also a very good craftsman, and was a good Rc model flyer.I learned this many years ago looking at a quarter scale model stearman which Rick had built.

Quality and looks is everything with the oak boards,I would cut the boards at 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 thick allowing for shrinkage and finishing.
A really nice board at 8' long 30"wide I would expect to get £80 to £100.
ouch said the piston

To me, looking at the damage it looks like one of the needle bearing has come from some where.?
