I looked at the Hg36 and with all the hydraulic accessories its at the top end of your budget.I'm looking for a band mill for personal use and semi commercial. I currently use an old norwood 2000 super band mill (bed is now knackered and on its last legs). I'm looking to get hydraulics lifters, turner's etc on a new mill.
The larger norwood hd36 and logosol 1001 look good, question is which is the one get, or is there a better alternative. Woodland Mills look to flimsy and the woodmisers to expensive. Budget £10-15,000.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Sure it was about £17000 plus

Are you up and running yet? Would be interesting to see if its worth me investing in one as well. -
Its log sol wood kiln but i built my own box with glass fibre base to hold the water to steam the wood. That’s interesting, what does the “electric kiln” entail? Is that a heater or dehumidifier at bottom? And what’s the approximate cost to build something like that? I assume it’s a lot mor controllable than a solar kiln and you can use it in winter lol [emoji23]
All the plans are on the web site.
Cost finished about £1300.

I have a 3120 two bars 36 and cannon 50 and several chains
That i am wanting to sell if anybody is intrested.
Prefer using the 880. -
Now i have done a bit more reading understand the 090 is 137 cc i thought it was 150 cc.
See where you are coming from with the 880.
The way the American sites go on about them being one of best milling saws.got me thinking. -
If i buy a 070 kit and a oem 090 piston and head have i then got a working 090 137cc.

The pump is on full and i am using a 42 barThat's good to hear because one of peoples' reservations about using rape oil is the fear that it doesn't reach the tip of a large bar.
Cuts 18ft to the tank.

I have used rapeseed oil for 4 years now in my mill saw 880
Just take a bit more attention to cleaning.- 2

The 880 is fabulous milling saw mine is on it 3rd year no problems.
All you need to do is clean airfilter every two boards and keep the saw well maintained and clean after each day off use. -

The void behind the concrete is created by the flow of water over the overflow due to plants growing between the concrete panel's .
