A little job for Sunday make good a table with new top in larch.

I had this once mark, I put it down to the bolts on the clamps being unevenly tightened. Not happen again count how many turns on each bolt.

Only a learner so might be wrong.

Their is a few things on the eBay one that I don't like the look off.the way the up rights are bolted is one that jumps out at me.I have an alaskenmill and I can see why they are the market leader.

So for me buy once and buy the best.As I am still learning the art off milling the alaskenmill does give you that confidence to push yourself.

This is the place where I am going to place my storage.this is a south facing garden.

My first choice is a lean to,on to the workshop but as a stop gap I am wanting to use a poly tunnel.

Larch,ash,sycamore,beech all cut at same thickness 2.1/4 all the planks are between six and eight ft.

I want to try and improve the way I work this year instead

of selling all the milled timber wet try and keep some by and season it.

I need a cheap way off storing my timber and keeping it dry the plan is a three metre by four poly tunnel in the back garden.your thoughts on this.

O and I was a good lad and dryer the 365 and greased the needle bearing.and it fired up after a few pulls.😊

Well it's been great reading all your confessions had a good laugh reading all them.

Really nice piece off oak,when I am milling I always try to take as little off the top of the log as possible.

A bit of daz does the trick

I would mill it on site,board length about eight ft.I did similar to one on a farm with very limited access.

Busy milling it this weekend so far some nice pieces.

Sure I can make something out off this lot.

Yes it was on a fence line and it had a branch cut off at this point which it had grown over.

Was this tree about to fail?

Seen them now two larch stems 18 inch by 8ft nice and straight and three stems of pine.Keep me busy for a day or two.

Is a nice sized larch stem worth milling ?

The bar was about one hundred pounds but got the piston and head for nothing.

This little diy saw has served me well putting up with fourteen months of abuse

So has been treated to a new piston and head and a cannon bar.

I really do need a professional small saw in the near future,which one is open to debate.

Yes I have the tool,thanks adw.I was setting it like my model plane engines at 11/2 and 3 so thanks for that.

Can anybody help with the carb settings on the 135 for the H & L settings how many turns out as a start point,

I work with a husky and my friend works with a stihl,if your working for long periods with the saw I would go for the stihl.as the husky has a bit more weight to it.
