  1. Yeh I looked at the husky at a local dealer and have to admit I was interested in that and the viking mb4rtp I did dismiss them in favour of a 3 in 1 but I'm thinking otherwise now.
  2. Ideally a 3 in1 would be great, if the mulching performance is total rubbish though I may be tempted to get a dedicated mulcher instead. Are 3 in 1's generaly that bad then?
  3. Just about to lay my hard earned down on a new mower and looking to spend between £450 - £550 I've looked at the masport 800 widecut and the ariens razor sp, I'm intending to use it semi professional but I'm not sure if those suggested are decent enough?
  4. Yokohama geolander at/s g012 are a good all terrain tyre and come in lots of sizes, have them on my Nissan xtrail which would be the same class of soft/roader as the Honda. Also you may find offroad tyres hard to come buy for the wheel size on the Honda the choice was very limited for my Nissan, and don't go too wild with larger tyres cuz it'll put your final drive gear ratio out as well as create the obvious clearance issues. Just some food for thought, hope this helps some.
  5. Cheers for all the input from everyone! so basically a husky 545 or stihl fs460 will serve me well? are the harnesses any better on the stihl or husky?
  6. HI! I'm Looking for some advice on choosing a descent brushcutter to be used mostly on bramble and heavy nettle, so far I'm thinking of the husky 535 but not sure if I should be looking at something with more power. Any help would be great Cuz I have very little experience with brushcutters and want to make sure I'm not gonna end up buying twice. Cheers!
  7. Well I was gonna go with the 576xp but my local dealer couldn't get one in, Husqvarna are outta stock and there's an uncertain amount of time of approx 4weeks minimum before they can send one out. So being that the dealers are real stand up guys and I like to keep my business local I've ended up going with the 441 on a 25" which was also out of stock but i'll have it within the week, this was actually my third choice my second being a 390xp but again outta stock which I'm kinda glad really that would of been to much saw for my current needs and the vibes are a lot worse.
  8. Just like to thank everyone that's submitted to this post I've finally made my mind up, and tomorrow placing the order for the 576xp on a 24"bar. Cheers all!
  9. So called into the husky dealer today, and just my luck he'd sold the 576xp the day before, however he did have a 390xp with 28" bar in store, a little nose heavy but otherwise a nice machine. So now the trouble is I'm still none the wiser what I would feel about the 576xp, but I'm very very tempted by the 390xp so what I'm basically asking here is for someone to make my mind up for me, I know the 390xp. Is a good solid machine but is it gonna be to much saw?
  10. It's great to hear your 576 has been trouble free, there is another dealer fairly local who has one in stock, so I'll be down there after the holidays to check it out, but it is on my short list, if it's anything like my 560 it'll put a huge smile on my face.
  11. first Just like to thanks to that all that replied to this post, and merry Christmas and happy new year to every one, that said I paid a visit to my local stihl/Husqvarna dealer just before the holidays started he had a 372xp and 441cm there, now I liked the feel of the 441 more than the 372 in hand but he also suggested looking into the ms461, so any thoughts anyone? he also mentioned the 661 but I'm thinking that it may just be to much saw when it becomes available again, although it does sound good, after all bigger is always better. that's what the wife says anyway:tongue_smilie:
  12. cheers for the reply! how are you getting on with your replacement 576xpg? I'm liking the sound of the 576xp autotune but I'm a little concerned about the reliability, I know I could go down the 372xp/ms461 route but really fancied getting one of the new tech saws with less vibes.
  13. just outta curiosity what didn't you like about the 441?
  14. Hi! anyone have any experience with the two? I'm struggling to decide which would be the better investment, i'm intending to use 20" bar mostly for hard wood with the occasional use of 25" for larger softwood. I know this has been posted before but I'm looking for more recent feedback. Cheers if anyone can help!
