  1. They are fine if the blades are sharp and the anvil is properly adjusted. If the blades are a bit dull, you can get away forcing it through with the crush for a bit longer but ultimately you need to keep the knives sharp. Which is what should be happening anyway it’s worth keeping a spare set with the machine. I have a 150ld and am very happy with it. The productivity to £ ratio is excellent!

  2. I know Wilde and can vouch that he invests an awful lot of his own time and money into the railway to help them out and has done for years.

From what I know the railway have had a survey done and there is a lot of work to be done and it’s more than he can manage, for free, over and above what he already does. He is not looking to earn a fortune just cover some of his costs, if possible.@trigger_andy To suggest that you can figure out someone’s intentions from a few posts on a forum without asking for proper clarification, I suggest is a little hasty. To outright call someone an opportunist is defamatory and offensive. Maybe people should spend a bit more energy trying to listen and understand instead of just assuming the worst, jumping to conclusions and hurling insults.

It’s a forum, generally people come on and ask questions/ for help. Right?

  3. Don't doubt it. Next time try an 8 pin rim on the 462 and 461 if they are running 20 inch bars.

Wouldn’t this increase chain speed at the expense of “torque”?

I have never tried a larger rim so can’t comment, but I sure leant on both saws.

I am not taking away from the 462 power to weight it’s the best stock saw I have had a go with and with some “work” could be an experience to cut with. Just highlighting there are other options. The cost of the machines is another consideration as well.

  4. Was that 560 pulling 325 or 3/8? The saw is either new or bedded in? Being both is sort of difficult [emoji6] It takes 10 tanks+ to bed in the rings and loosen up the crank. I'm also impressed the 560 can oil a 24 inch bar ported.

.325 semi chisel on the 560, the saw was bedded in but in new condition. 24” is the max recommended bar length on the 560, certainly in the states, I have had no issues with it oiling. Its an aggressive saw even at full bar length.

  5. What I don’t understand is that shooting an animal from long range without it knowing you are there, while going about it’s day is considered barbaric but forcing a whole herd of them into an slaughter house under high stress and killing them one by one and sometimes even doing it halal style is ok!

We have been hunting forever, I can almost guarantee that the meat shot would have less stress hormones in it and so taste better.

I think we should be eating less meat but that it should be killed this way where possible. As long as it was a clean kill and everything was used what is the problem?

Edit: I do note that posting it is in bad taste and maybe the intention was the trophy but my point stands.
