  1. As MattyF says its trail and error on hot start but once mastered happy days
  2. As you can tell from my post i didn't and it seems to be why I'm having problems.Would like to know how many of you done this when you first used this type of saw and if you had any breakdown faults or not.
  3. Ive just been informed that when you purchase this type of saw with auto tune when you use the saw for the first time or when outside circumstances change (fuel, altitude, air filter etc.) that you must start engine accelerate the engine to full throttle and saw a number of cuts in a thick log (3-5 min) the saw must run (8,000-12,000 rpm)the entire time so that the carburettor can adjust itself. If the dealer explained this and more people read the manual then people wouldn't be moaning about this type of saw (me to both) so don't be lazy like me and read the manual and make sure that your dealer explains this function to you.I will try this when i get my saw back and let you know if it solves my problem.Kev
  4. I got one eight months ago pile of junk mine has been. Its gone back know for the ninth time but as some say they've had no problems with the newer ones so maybe all the known faults have been sorted. The way this is being sorted out is a joke so its Stihl for me from now on.

  15. Just got of the phone to Husqvarna with no joy.Said i need to take it back to supplier.Dont see how they can treat customers in this way they've got my money and ive got something i cant use . They think I've got nothing better to do with my time. They are a joke:thumbdown:
  16. I to have had nothing but starting troubles with the 550xp going back for the seventh time.Last time wanted money back or exchange for similar saw but was told not shops policy.Thought if you have been sold faulty goods you are entitled to a full refund or goods to same value but first you must give them the right to repair it , think six times is just a joke.Emailed Husqvarna today to see what they have to say.PS hi from new member
