  1. Yeah it's good bud, I use about 150ml for every 30L, it's quite a big think on the Passat forum, couple of my mates run it too, mine runs a bit quieter now and a little less smokey when I put my foot down!
  2. No engine braking = faster anyhow back on topic, does it matter what 2 stroke oil?
  3. Yeah, seen a few of them out recently, always see some running in the historic class, couple of road rally ones too!
  4. 2 cylinder one of these baddys https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=256804654471627&set=a.256804574471635.1073741839.221091774709582&type=3&theater Made a four stroke one too
  5. Nope, 2002 Passat, improves MPG and cleans the injectors she's and old girl, just run in at 230,000!
  6. Does it matter what type I use? Cause I run it in my car as well so I just use the Asda stuff, was debating buying a 5l bottle of the Stihl stuff as it's a similar price
  7. Got holiday that I need to use up through work! I've got my CS30/31, I've done a couple of jobs on my own and done some work with CMS. Prepared to travel within 20 miles of Skipton, just want experience! Anytime in January or February, need to know in the next day or two Cheers for anyone that can help
  8. Stacking shelves full time at the moment and tree surgeon every other hour someone will give me work hoping to turn this around in the next year!
  9. Nice one bud! I haven't even thought about insurance and stuff at the moment! Another thing I need to look into for future reference. Still need to ring the council up to see about TPOs on the place!
  10. I asked him what he wanted for it and he didn't know. And I wanted to ask why he didn't want to do (He's a builder/joiner). Only reason I can imagine is cause he's doing the rest of the house up and just wants someone else to do the garden...
  11. As Big T said, a lot of these points are valid. It's a 40 mile round trip for me and an hours driving. I said him a price and said that cause it's my first job I'll renegotiate price with him. I do eventually want to run my own surgery so any critism is good.... all a learning curve for me. As for the fuel... just got 2.5L off my Grandad for free
  12. I wasn't sure cause it's my first job, was thinking £25 for fuel for maintenance, getting there and for my tools. Then £10 an hour or is that too cheap? He was happy with burning it so winner for me £200 really??? That'd normally take me 4 days to earn at work! I reckon it'd take me a minimum of half a day if I started early. I am the only guy cause it's a mate of a mate... he's just wanting it done whenever and for cheap as far as I know.
  13. Just got a my first job Just wondering how to price it? He's wanting 2 trees (About 7 foot in height, more like a bush) taking down 2 Bushes taking down as well And then one bush trimming. Now I've thought of fuel for driving there, fuel for the trimmers and the saw and then how do I go about hourly rate or do I just give him a price for the whole job? Not really sure how to do it so any advice would be appreciated Cheers Sam
  14. Looking for Experience work. Passed my CS30/31 and I am now looking to get experience. I want to persue a career in Tree Surgery and I am planning on getting some more tickets in the coming year. Based around Skipton, prepared to drive anywhere within 25 miles, I'll even venture over the border into Lancashire if I have to PM me on here
  15. Right I got through to Chris, however I am still looking. Prepared to Travel up to 25 miles around so that covers a fair area. Come onnn there must be someone who needs a hand And I am still ringing about before someone suggests it...
  16. I always found the Nikwax is the best for leather boots... have used it on my walking boots since a child and it always works. Never had the leather crack on me or anything!
  17. I got a username but I don't think it was the right username as it couldn't find it. I'll ring him again today. Cheers
  18. On it! He's a hard man to catch! Going to dry ringing him again tomorrow!

  20. Just passed my CS30/31, looking for some work, paid or unpaid! Just wanting experience. I have a few numbers to ring and I have searched around the local area so I have other places ring to. Just seeing if anyone locals on here. Cheers Sam
  21. Ill see what price I get from my local dealer (Mike Barnes). Going in on wednesday with a list
  22. Cheers guys! Think I am going to get the 555... for the money and hopefully it'll last a good shile!
  23. Dealers give discount???!?! That would be amazing if I could get that! I will be spending a rather large amount of money on gear (ppe, timber tongs etc to get me started) would you say turning up with cash would be better for haggling?
  24. It's just a voucher that says Husky 25% of Chainsaws and then I have another one for PPE which is 30% off. Says it for any dealer
  25. Probably won't be day in day out but hopefully a fair bit! Cheers for the help guys! I will get down to the dealer this week and see what I can sort out!
