Caroline Liggins, representing the defendant, said: "My client strongly protests her innocence and looks forward to fighting these unjust charges in court." Why does this remind me of some of the things that have been argued about in this thread?

That report was from early May. The BBC is today reporting the same find. One major difference is that the May report valued the tools at £500,000 and today's BBC report values the tools at £1,000,000. That's inflation for yer! Tool thefts: Kent Police recovers goods worth more than £1m WWW.BBC.CO.UK Kent Police says it has finished cataloguing a haul of more than 3,500 tools.
