  1. got there at 3 alone gets dark at 4, every now and then you get a job which you over think but in my opinion it's safer considering every possibility. Been told price is irrelevant.. What sort of figures would you boys charge? Emergency job etc. Cheers

    ££££? :)

  2. This is a sample to demonstrate what the website might look like for each species. Imagine a page like this for every species of tree.

The top section of the page is a quick-reference summary with objective ratings to give an idea of a variety of properties.

Below this are expandable tabs, which each require sub-menus containing extensive and complete information on a variety of subjects specific to the species. In the picture, as an example, the 'identification' tab is open, within which the 'cultivars and varieties' tab has been clicked. The information inside is just an example to show what may be included, however i would expect this particular subject to contain a great deal more information that i have summarised in this example.

Please keep in mind this is a sample for the FORMAT of the page, rather than the content of the page itself (which may not be 100% accurate or comprehensive).

    Feedback greatly appreciated

Great work  can not wait to see it live :001_smile:

  3. I say MEWP personally that way you have full control over the whole job. :)

Or you can use a speedline to the back of your truck ;) that way you send the branches away from any risk and straight to the chipper? :)

Hard to judge with not actually being there.

  4. Look at farming simulator. Do you see many people suddenly becoming farmers as they think it is a game? Its just like Farming simulator but for tree surgery and forestry :) Arbtalk members will get a discount and the discount money will go to the designated Arbtalk Charity :) Free demo's will be available as well so you can try before you buy that way you can see how good or bad it is depending on your opinion and views. Its being made as many simulator games lack detail and reality.

  5. What sort of budget do you have for the game if you don't mind me asking. The sort of project you are talking about will run into the tens of thousands with ongoing development costs

I have a investor who has the means to fund the whole game. But i have secured several brand sponsorships that are funding various parts of the game :) due to NDA's i can not say who they are until the game is released :).

I will PM you when the time gets closer to release :)

  6. There's already Woodcutter Simulator 2013

It is just awful. So anything you make has got to be better!

Here's the thread posted on it a while ago... my review of it on the second page.

Thank you for posting that game :) it will be more interactive. For starters you decide where to cut on the tree, how big gob cut and the angle as well as what type of cut. Beware!! The trees can fall the wrong way and get hung up :). There will not be any silly cost gaps i.e do a hundred jobs to buy a decent tool or vehicle.

  7. Use google plus :D its free and promotes your business around your area. It works for me all the time :). Its simple to set up and simply add pictures and reviews and you will be top of the list in your local area on Google maps. Way to find it google any tree surgeons in to the search tab and a map with A-D will appear on you result page those guys have Google plus or whatever its called anyway use it :)

Hope this helps, PM if you want to know more ;)
