1.
Just sent it mate so should be with you in a few minutes. You will see what I mean re the earlier/later oil pump drives when you see them in it. They are both listed on it.

Hi mate. I would just change it yearly. They only cost £3. The problem is altho the bearing rollers are metal the actual cage is plastic. Its mainly caused by tight chains and dry bearings etc. Sounds like you keep yours greased well. Most don't tend to touch them and they go dry and then the heat distorts them. There where 3 on ebay last week alone that all had the same issue.

The other thing I have found is twine and stringy wood can get in them and kill them also.

Sounds like you have a good preventive plan in place so the likelihood of you suffering any issues is low. Ive never had one of mine go but like you I tend to grease and check mine frequently. I tend to use a bit of LMT grease which is high melting point and for car wheel bearings and never had an issue altho any grease will do. Its when they go dry, everyone ive done has always had a dry bearing thru lack of maintenance apart from the 2 string related ones.

Regards

Hi mate, the 510 case is close but no good, the cut off saw doesn't have the chain oiler facility.

I don't think you will find it will be an issue with the crankcases to be honest, ive never had, seen or heard any issues with them.

The fuel tank is totally separate from the crankcases and is in the pull start unit. 051's will fit but are slightly smaller but direct replacement.

So by your message you have spark if its spluttered. They are prone to flooding so make sure you have a dry plug in it. The way I start them after they haven't been started for a while is no choke, lock the throttle pin on part throttle, pour a small amount of fuel in the top of the carb (about a tablespoon) and pull it over and they tend to fire in the first 2 or 3 pulls.

Where do you live? I assume your not local to me?

You say spark chip? Im assuming you mean you have replaced the trigger unit with a module?

 4.
Will certainly try heating the plug aswell tomoz you suggest. Thanks for your advice. Just hate having to put a saw down knowing its not running. will be awake all bloody night picking my brains lol.
