  2. thanks kevin, rudeness not intended, just trying to say if ya want it, go get it.
  3. realy enjoy felling trees, we all have things we enjoy, but getting paid for it is a different ball game. this industry is becoming a complete and utter joke, every tom dick and harry thinks there gonna drop trees and sell fire wood, and we wonder why all the jolly foreigners are coming over for work.
  4. why dont you just go self employed, you decided you want to change career and expect someone to pay your wages. get your tickets and find your own work, nothing worse than someone going on about there passion for a job and expect another person to pay there wages. god whats happened to this country.
  5. he wont get one of my jobs, i dont look for work. explain what makes it right. its about time people started to realise that they make there own rate when it comes to paid work. you can work for a roof over ya head and fiood or you can work for a lifestyle, we decide our own rate, no such thing as a going rate.
  6. so what ya saying, you dont know how to work out costs and what you would be happy with or need. give me a break, if you cant price cutting grass then dont do it. what you looking for, some magical calculation that covers your costs and ya mortage, food, household bills just do the maths and stop being lazy, one man might need £20 a day and another £120. what is a ball part figure, rip off, bargain or fair deal?
  7. why ask for a rate, why not just decide what you will be happy with.
  8. stihl ms261 and 15 bar, fab saw now all the teething issues have been resolved. had mine since feb, was new purchase and used nearly all day every day.
  9. I thought about cooking oil/ rape oil but I read that the oil pump flow needs adjusting, anyone done this.
  10. hi guys, using stihl oil in my ms261, cost is killing me. anyone used the oregon oil, the 25lt is a good price from clark forest. anyone see any issues using this oil, cheers.

    AV Gloves

find this very interesting, i researched impact and av gloves and it was supposed to be proven that these gloves make very little if any difference to the affects of vibrating machines. there was no proven benefit to using them.

  23. That backup sling from your hand ascender to ya belt ring, your thinking if the Petzl ID fails you have backup. that looks like knots tied in the sling to me, your ID fails when you pulled right up to the pulley with max slack on the sling, your going straight down, snap bang on ya arse. change the sling for rope.
  24. agree with above, lots of trades and sports work alone.
  25. quite agree, some other brands aint to bad for the money, look after them and dont push them too hard. if I was starting out i would buy cheapish saw.
