  1. ............and the alarm bells are ringing at GCHQ!
  2. Well what do people want? They complain about public figures being too false and disingenuous, then people like Farage and Trump let it all out, speak their mind, try to explain their thought process, and get slated for it! What that famous line about not being able to handle the truth!
  3. Probably just the latest episode in the ongoing Google-Microsoft battle. As a Windows phone user you become more aware of it given the control which Google have in that area and having read up on it a bit looks very much to me like Google are very much the aggressor between not wanting Windows compatible versions of their own apps and then blocking Microsoft apps from Android. Sorry not much help but maybe you should check if there is an issue as it might not be your problem.
  4. I agree with pretty much everything I hear him saying but still find him utterly insufferable. No matter what the issue I always wish he was on the other side!
  5. I think it's where it's going is the big issue. Population numbers, financial markets (specifically national debts world wide), depletion of the earths resources, pollution, increasing intolerance of anyone with a view contrary to own no matter what it may be, all these things and many more are on courses which are utterly unsustainable in even the medium never mind long term. Even a wee tiny chick has the sense not to sh1t in it's own nest, Homo Sapiens just doesn't seem to be similarly endowed.
  6. Aye, hard times indeed!
  7. So accurate it's scary! Who then could have imagined that 50yrs later things would be so much worse.
  8. Does he even have to? Surely once a new administration gets settled in and stops covering things up, then there's going to be a lot of very messy stuff start coming out and it'll catch up with her eventually anyway. Never mind what the journalists and media were sitting on as well!
  9. It's supposed to be at the core of BBC broadcasting, yet the most of us know how "fair and balanced" BBC output manages to be! However for Mr Trump, it does signal change and sends out a very clear and loud message of intent. Which surely makes it a good thing for that reason alone.
  10. But the big difference is that for you it's merely an observation, for me it's how I try to live my life.
  11. That is quite correct.
  12. Nonsense, a true Christian won't start a war with anyone.
  13. Very true, I've seen that myself on many occasions. Maybe even the staunchest disbeliever is actually closer to God than they think after all!
  14. You said you gave up Christianity for science. I was simply pointing out that you only replaced one unproven theory with another unproven theory.
  15. I take it you are referring to what's known as "the spirit molecule"?, I can't remember it's chemical name. I've read about it and maybe there's something in it, maybe not. For me personally it makes no difference, some like to use it to bolster their case but again I think going down that route simply indicates a lack of faith in the first place.
  16. It was "predicted" because for all their intellectual power they could not make sense of the "big bang". It just wasn't possible that it could happen whichever angle they came from. So Peter Higgs came up with the theory of the Higgs Boson, a magic particle that ties all the other theories together leading to the creation of solid matter as we know it. It only came about to fill the hole in all their other theories and because they started off with the premise that there actually WAS a "big bang" and they needed to figure out how it happened. But what they've actually done over the years is prove that it's immensely improbable that it ever did. The Higgs Boson hasn't been found. They released a statement saying that they'd collected data which pointed to it's existence, which inside a week of clever PR had become "finding" it, but in reality it has not yet been found. Forty million collisions per second for how many years the collider has been running and they still haven't found it. Yet strange how many people have been bluffed in to thinking that the "big bang" is actually proven science when in fact it is just every bit as mythical as our "sky daddy".

    These aren't bad either!

Is correct, but also seen it happening a very few times with poorly made aftermarket pistons, usually on scooters but could happen with anything. Just be a pity if the issue in this case was preventable.
  19. How much do you actually know about the Higgs Boson?
  20. I studied the three sciences to "O" level and Physics to "A" level. Both the weans have "A" levels in Biology and Chemistry as well, son has gone on to BSc in Science, daughter currently still studying, again science related. There is nothing in any proven scientific theory to conflict with Christian beliefs.
  21. You do yourself a disservice with such a ridiculous analogy.
  22. Only in your closed mind.
  23. I never said that, don't mis-quote me.
  24. And why does an intelligent man like yourself feel the need to mock the concept? Having total belief in something that there is no definitive proof of is not easy, I won't try to deny that, it's a path that few can stick with. So then why deride anyone with the strength of mind to be able to achieve it? I don't think it's necessary to become a monk or nun to follow the path of the Lord, but I certainly wouldn't be scornful of them for doing so.
  25. No it's not, it's not easy at all. And it's becoming more and more difficult as the path of the Lord becomes increasingly divergent from contemporary society and the world around us.
