  1. Did big hedging job and wanted to burn of waste, all backed onto units as well 30-40m away, but because it was a "country" parish council rather than a town council area no problem burn away was the reply, (job was for the council)

     

    according to then if its "country" type council you can just crack on but

    a town council permission needed ect like the old school preferred wait till after 6pm and not on washing day lol

     

    of course depends on how BIG a fire you want

  2. just knocked up some "wooden" billhooks, just to stick on the table at demos. Kids always interested in things that cut stuff:001_rolleyes: what would be good CHEAP way of making the blade part look metal (do look better in real life) maybe answering me own question here job lot of grey spray paint ? blow torch, anything else ?? regards all

  3. Summer work is contract grass cutting, graveyard being one of my jobs, quiet often they have been planted on or right next to head stones like past post stated,

    so ball park figure have a look at nearest stone or even if its inline/on a grave with a stone, just done this weeks cut will look next time Im & cutting try n take some pic's and dates

  4. Have always gone till end of March. Just last year with the lateness of things went into early part of 2nd week in April load of willow on a small island , not even in bud.

     

    As has been said, different parts of UK makes a difference,

    even just down the rd & over the border from me in Devon you get up on top of moors big difference. Current job landowner has spoke to his ELS agent, so long as nothing in flower & no birds nesting ok till end of March. As much as I'd like to carry on, summer work takes over then. mid March & September cross over couple of days of each. I keep track of all locations & hedging job, this season will have covered 1910m

Well we made it through the night, & after what Wednesday chucked at us, even though wind was in a slightly different direction to wednesday Im sure that was a lot worse last night, things rattling around very surprised to see things still upright..last night power tripped out at 10 came back on this morning at about 6.15,
