  2. I did have this in another post but got no answers so re listing again in here

watched all the info about the ripeur 2 gloves

ummed & arred then got some mid season (jan/feb) wow no more thorns bar the odd 1 through the seam brilliant I thought,

only thing have worn through the fingers very quickly (I thought) just under 1/2 a season will need another pair for next/this season, they weren't doing masses of just thorn , just a good old mixed hedging, but they were in use for the remaining of the season 3/4 months.

What others getting out of them ??

Think I will get some more

Spoke to Safety Hut they "have never had any complaints" so no money back discount etc

but have ordered some more and they do work.....a word to all if they dont have your size showing on there site ring and ask i found out they dont always show all the sizes if they only have 1 or 2 pairs left in stock, as you are then turning people down

Maybe I just work to hard

  3. Near where we are currently working they have recently had hedge laying comp. Looked really realy nice a lot of the work. One growing season later, you can not tell the difference from those hedges and the flailed ones next to them as you drive by.

I still like the layed ones mind.

    Wheres that Marc ???

just thought it was something my side.

  6. Well all of a sudden there life in this little bit of AT again, almost as though winter is nearing again :001_tongue:, I hope we have all made it through the summer and have bookings lined up.

Had a duff knee for last 2 months carried on slower than normal & getting through pills like made, desperate to have it sorted in next month awaiting MRI to see what wrong.

National contest form returned so maybe see some of you there

  7. during summer months one of my contracts is grass cutting in a graveyard, all the yrs and all the summers/weather Ive done it, it ALWAYS grows like mad, and I can only put it down to the nutrients in the ground, there is know where else that I cut grows like it

  8. the title is my 1st question

or if anyone wants to make a trip of it.

will explain more, but bare with I know nothing of costings/ time scale's etc in your field of work

Melplash Hedgelaying and ploughing 28th Sept, were looking for some events/entertainment (normal day start about 9.30 until 3-4pm) looking for a carver that might like to come along and do a bit.

After chatting to some carvers at another show early on this year.

Still not sure on what is the "normal" set up for carvers at shows.

2nd We cant say how many people would be passing all weather depending (will enquire about numbers, Im normally in contest and busy)

3rd To try and make it good for visitors would 4 x 1/2 hrs carvings be worth it for the carver bit like speed carve rather than 1 would hope you can sell there and then or what ever you think would/will work

4th what would you want, barrier, cover, etc.

5th now the big question how dose the money side of things work out. We all know what committees can be like cant pay, wont pay, will pay X amount , you keep all you make etc you keep all you make just a little donation etc ,

Im on the sub committee but dont have any financial say

  9. Did they announce the winner of the last comp for the t540xp?

Not sure what I going to do with all winning prizes if we come over to do this hedge lol, :001_tongue:

all things Ive entered over the last few weeks Im going to need a lock up to store it all at least one of them is a roof rack for landy so can shove a lot up there.

like the lottery got to be in it to win it.

  10. Bit of a spin of from the title, ment to have posted this ages ago
